Rebel Wilson is in the midst of lawsuit accusing her of lying about Sacha Baron Cohen abuse
The lawsuit comes after she accused her film’s producers of embezzlement, misconduct and sabotage
Producers of upcoming Rebel Wilson film The Deb have amended their discrimination suit against her, hitting back after she made accusations towards them on her Instagram. As reported in Variety, The Deb producers Amanda Ghost, Gregor Cameron and Vince Holden filed an amended complaint in their lawsuit against Rebel Wilson – accusing her of defamation.
Rebel Wilson posted a video on her Instagram on July 10th where she accuses all three of them of “inappropriate behavior toward the lead actress of the film,” “embezzling funds from the film’s budget,” as well as sabotaging the film’s premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. In the complaint, the three accuse Rebel Wilson (who both directed and starred in the film) of numerous allegations including being absent from set and “making things up” over a writing credit argument.
“Because Rebel shirked her professional obligations to the Plaintiffs, the Film, and everyone dedicated to its success, she started flailing and inventing problems to obfuscate her own failures,” the amendment reads.
The three also go as far as to claim that Rebel Wilson manufactured her claims of sexual harrassment against Sacha Baron Cohen. In her book Rebel Rising, which released earlier this year, Wilson claimed that she was harassed by Cohen on the set of The Brothers Grimsby. Straight up calling Rebel’s claims “false”, the amendment says “Rebel hypocritically played the victim in order to elicit public sympathy in the hope that it would advance her professional self-interest.”

Amanda Ghost, Gregor Cameron and Vince Holden go on to say in the amendment that Rebel Wilson “has a history of fabricating false and malicious lies to hide her own lack of professionalism and advance her own self-interest.” It adds: “This lawsuit is about holding Rebel accountable for her attempts to bully Plaintiffs into conceding to her unreasonable demands by spreading vicious lies without regard for the irreparable damage her reckless words would cause on the hard-earned personal and professional reputations of Plaintiffs.”
Rebel Wilson is yet to comment on the lawsuit and the amendment.
