Um, it turns out Ruby Adler’s new boyfriend is a convicted drug dealer

When Ruby Adler went Instagram official with her new boyfriend Nicholas Sinclair at Christmas, everyone from Emily Blackwell to Miles Nazaire in the Made in Chelsea cast rushed to congratulate her. But a source has since revealed Ruby’s first serious love interest since Reza has only just got out of prison.

“Most of her cast-mates were thrilled to see her loved-up with Nicholas,” the insider told the Mirror. “But what most people don’t know is he was behind bars until a few months ago. He was mixed up with some serious people.”

According to reports, Nicholas pleaded guilty at Guilford Crown Court in Surrey to two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. He was given four-and-a-half years behind bars but was released around halfway through his sentence.

“Ruby’s family are very well off. Her education and social circle has always been very elite, ultra high net worth individuals. Prison, drug dealing and a stabbing are a world away from her family life,” the source added. “People say he’s great company and, of course, anyone can change their ways. Only time will tell.”

Nicholas, who’s a model and father of one, previously faced some controversy in 2014 when he appeared on Channel 5’s Dangerous Dog Owners and Proud. He told producers on the show that his pit bull Sergeant could rip someone’s “fucking liver, spleen, and pancreas” out and that the dog had previously chased a group of guys and “caught one of them in the leg”.

“If anyone tries it with me, my dog is going before I do,” he said, explaining he’d trained Sergeant to attack people by “punching” and “hitting” him.

“If he stops I punish him,” Nicholas explained. “He has to carry on until it’s finished…If you’re fighting back this is going to be your blood, your f***ing liver, your spleen and your pancreas.”

On the show, Nicholas also showed the cameras stab wounds on his body, saying: “I’ve had a lot of trouble”. And, in an interview with a fashion website, he specified he was stabbed at a nightclub after a fight with a gang of 12 other men.

“It kicked off into an all-out brawl in the street,” he said. “I saw one boy pull out a newspaper that had a long blade hanging out of it. It was a sword and he began to lunge at me. As I ran for my car and opened the door, I felt what was like a warm punch. I noticed the tip of the blade hanging out of my chest. I realised it had gone right through me.”
