Man Met student says someone ‘broke into their house and did a poo in the living room’

There’s no worst student fear than a burglary except maybe an intruder who also takes a dump in the middle of your living room.
A Manchester Metropolitan student who wished to remain anonymous, says that a burglar broke into their Fallowfield home, allegedly stole their wallet and then left a poo in the living room.
Speaking to The Manchester Tab, the student said their flatmate noticed it yesterday morning before going to uni.
“We thought it smelled bad in the living room and then noticed it smeared on the footstool.”
The student says it has now been cleaned but that they were going to take the footstool to the tip as they “didn’t think anyone would want to touch it again now”.
Asked if they could think of any reason why someone would do this they said: “I don’t have a clue why someone would do it there’s some proper weirdos about.”
The incident posted on the Manchester Student Group on Facebook has led to thousands of reactions and replies. Including one who claimed “It’s more common than you think. My mate got burgled and they shit on the bedroom floor, wiped themselves on the duvet.”
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Police received a report on Monday 6 December of a burglary that is believed to have occurred in the early hours of that morning at a property on Brook Road, Manchester.
“Enquiries have since established unknown offender/s had entered the property before fleeing with items from within, including a wallet.
“No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or via our LiveChat quoting log 2027 of 06/12/21.
“Details can also be passed via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
