Students are fully freaking out at the idea of uni lectures being online next year

After Cambridge Uni announced there would be no face-to-face lectures for the whole of the 2020/21 academic year, people freaked out.

And rightfully so, because the idea of spending £9,250 a year for jittery Zoom calls and learning an entire degree from bed just doesn’t quite feel like the uni experience you signed up for.

Not every university has announced teaching plans for next year, and the few who have haven’t gone as drastic as Cambridge. Manchester and Exeter Uni are online-only for first term, and others are repeating the words “blended learning”, like people actually understand wtf that really means.

But look, the good news is the way you’re feeling right now about the shit-storm ahead is universal – so let’s all come together and pray that things don’t get any worse:

Uni students have been fucked over the hardest. We’ve been forced out of accommodation we have paid for, lectures either online or just completely cancelled and there’s a chance we will Miss out an entire year to online uni like at Cambridge University. £9250 for a zoom call smh
