A York club night is giving 20 per cent of profits to the RSPCA in memory of Long Boi
You can also get a free shot if you have a picture or video of you feeding Long Boi
YorkPartyNetwork’s Underground Fridays at Ziggy’s has said it will give 20 per cent of all profits from this week’s event to the RSPCA in memory of Long Boi.
The club night will also give free shots for those with a picture or video of themselves feeding Long Boi.
In a post on Instagram, it described the event as “Long Boi’s wake” and said: “Join us at Ziggy’s this Friday as we celebrate the life and times of Long Boi! Come vibe with the crowd and party the night away. Hop to the best Urbaan tracks DJ FLEX has to offer, and raise a glass in remembrance of the one and only Long Boi! Best of all 20 per cent of all profits will go to the RSPCA.”
This comes after The University of York officially confirmed that Long Boi had passed away this morning. In a joint statement on Instagram, the uni and SU said: “Following a period of almost two months without a confirmed sighting of Long Boi, we are today forced to conclude that he has passed away.”
Long Boi’s wake is the latest in a series of tributes given to the world’s most famous duck including Long Boi Doughnuts and Chat GPT poems.
You can buy tickets for the event here.
