You won’t want to miss this!

Pull Up Recording is coming to Cardiff with a massive all-day event!

Originating in the Welsh capital, Pull Up Recordings is going on tour around the UK hosting an all-day sports, fashion, and music events.

The collective has been blowing up from doing shows at Stormzy’s Soho house party in London to a pop up with FISH56OCTAGON at the i360 in Brighton.

The company’s “All fcking day” event is doing two days in Cardiff, one in September and another in October with tickets available to buy on Fixr. Other cities Pull Up is visiting include Bristol, London, Swansea, Oxford and many more.

The all-day event starts off at midday with a run club where you’re given the option between  three kilometre or a five kilometre route. The run clubs are described as “completely inclusive beginner friendly” designed for “party animals who like to run” on their website.

From 1pm to 5pm, the run club will finish at the location of a pop-up streetwear shop. Merchandise includes Pull Up Recordings designs as well as local streetwear and vintage brands.

After that, at 6pm the meeting location for a secretly located pop-up show is sent out to all ticket holders. You are given one hour to get there however it runs on a first come first served basis so if you don’t get there quick enough you won’t get in.

Ticket holders will also receive a text with a clue 24 hours before. Their website states that “priority clues for Pop Ups are given to main event ticket holders”.

However, if you fail to get there in time, no worries, as the main event is then listed as lasting from 10pm to 4am in Club Ifor Bach in the Cardiff City Centre. The line up includes artists such as 4am Kru, BSEARL, Sempa, Sofa, and Daffty.

Like Pull Up Recordings, the Dnb scene in Cardiff has been growing too. Cardiff Uni student Jacob, said that “since I moved to Uni two years ago the Dnb scene and culture has increased massively. There are so much more venues and music events happening.”

Cardiff is hosting huge acts such as Chase and Status who are due to play at the Utilita Arena next year in their UK tour. Nightclubs such as District have also been growing in popularity holding events for growing artists such as Badger and Sammy Virji. Other places such as Depot have also had a rise in hosting DnB events which has a capacity of 2,500 people.

Locations closer to home such as Cathays has also seen a rise in pop up events. Last year, there was due to be a pop up event in our favourite T&A’s kebab shop before moving to a local barbershop. This year there are more plans from various organisations for pop up events to be held as the popularity of DnB grows amongst the student population in Cardiff.

So who knows, maybe in a few years Cardiff will be as popular as the likes of Manchester, Bristol, and London as a destination for Dnb artists and fans alike.
