Police appeal for information after burglary in Bristol city-centre student accommodation

Pieter SnepvangersAvon and Somerset Police have appealed to Bristolians to help identify two men in connection with a burglary at a city-centre student accommodation.
On 25th November, two men entered Zinc Quarter accommodation on Unity Street at approximately 7pm where they stole numerous parcels from behind the reception.
The burglars then left through the Gardiner Haskins store conjoined to the building.
The police have released two CCTV images which show two men in the lobby area of the accommodation. The force however, has not explicitly said the men pictured are suspects, only saying they “have information which could aid our investigation”.
Zinc Quarter offers high end accommodation to Bristol students in the east of the city-centre. Having opened in September 2022, the accommodation offers townhouses, en-suite apartments and studio flats to students, with rooms starting at £179 per week.
The building has staff on site 24 hours a day as well as as a “parcel receipt service” which says it keeps students’ parcels safe until they are ready to be collected.
A spokesperson for Student Roost, who own the accommodation, said: “We take incidents such as this very seriously, as the safety and wellbeing of our residents is our upmost priority. We cannot comment on an ongoing police investigation, but we are supporting them with their enquiries.”
