Big Bang Theory spinoff

Jim Parsons shuts down speculation he’d return to Big Bang Theory amid spinoff backlash

He also had some choice words to say about the spinoff show

If there’s anything the world really needs right now, it’s yet another Big Bang Theory spinoff, because two obviously are not enough. The recently announced spinoff will feature round three of the least interesting characters from the series, no offence if anyone loves them, in the format of comic book owner Stuart Bloom, his girlfriend Denise and Bert Kibbler.

But let’s be honest all we all really care about is whether any of the original cast will be returning, and Jim Parsons has weighed in on whether he’d return to the Bing Bang Theory spinoff.

Jim Parsons starred as Sheldon in the original Big Bang Theory, as well as making a cameo in the spinoff show, Young Sheldon, which he also helped to produce and narrate. However, he seems less than keen to appear in this new spinoff and to be honest I don’t blame him.

In an interview on the Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? podcast, Jim revealed whether he’d ever return, admitting: “As we sit here now, no. But also I never say never to anything, because life just changes so much.

“One of the things is that it was so special as what it was and as what it is, and they call it lightning in a bottle for a reason. You can be certain [a revival] wouldn’t be that, and so why would we be doing it?

“I don’t know, that’s how I feel on that right now. But like I say, God willing, life is very long.”
