D4vd’s neighbour shares ‘crazy’ insight into his relationship with dead teen Celeste Rivas
‘I asked him about his Tesla’
Still no arrest, and still no motive, but the death of teenager Celeste Rivas has gripped the internet for weeks now, with many analysing D4vd’s every song lyric, music video, and past statement.
Dressed in a tube top and black leggings, the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas was discovered in an abandoned Tesla in Los Angeles, California, at the start of the month. The vehicle was registered to D4vd, real name David Anthony Burke, but he was on tour at the time and police did not name him as a suspect. Fast forward a few weeks, and the internet has been dredging up just about anything that could hint at the mystery surrounding Celeste’s disappearance and subsequent death, from D4vd’s earlier music videos to his murderous alter ego. Last week, the singer’s LA rental was searched by the LAPD, where “several items of evidence were recovered and will be analysed by detectives.”
D4vd soon moved out of that $20k rental, with his neighbours speaking to various press outlets about him, Celeste Rivas, and their alleged relationship.

D4vd’s neighbour said he and Celeste Rivas were ‘quiet’
As who The Sun described as an “immediate neighbour”, the unnamed person detailed the alleged behaviour of Celeste Rivas and D4vd when they lived in the property.
“I just got here like yesterday,” he said, having just returned to the area. “They were pretty quiet. I never saw police there, and didn’t hear them partying or anything, nothing wild. I was shocked to find out what happened.”
Though their interactions seemed few and far between, they did have several conversations. The neighbour remembers Celeste being at the property regularly.

He continued: “I didn’t know he was a singer, but I knew he had a Tesla as it was always parked outside. He was with the girl regularly, all the time.
“I last saw them a couple of months ago, I’m not sure, but I thought they were just kids, like a couple [aged] 18/19. I had no idea, it’s crazy. I’d be in my car and we’d acknowledge each other, say hi, that was about it, when they were heading to the store or wherever.”
Continuing, the person described one interaction where he asked D4vd about his Tesla following some kind of traffic accident.
“I did ask him about his Tesla, as his car was hit and he never fixed it. He didn’t really say what happened. Any time I tried to talk to them, they weren’t very engaging. They kept to themselves. They[friends] told me they found a girl in a car, but I didn’t realise it was her at first,” he said.
D4vd has not been named as an official suspect in the investigation, and even now, details from the police are scarce amidst a public outcry for answers.
