Huge back-to-back editing errors prove revelational Selling Sunset chat was actually staged
It’s all a lie!
There were a bunch of back-to-back editing errors during a major chat in Selling Sunset season eight, and now everything I know is a lie. A conversation between Bre Tiesi and Amanda Lynn kick-started loads of drama, but it’s now clear the catch-up wasn’t at all what it seemed.
In the scene, Bre and Amanda headed out for coffee, with Amanda saying she had some pretty damning gossip to share. Amanda then went on to claim one of her friends had seen fellow Oppenheim Group agent Chelsea Lazkani’s former husband Jeff kissing another woman. She showed texts of her friend describing what he had claimed to have seen.
But, there were a whole load of editing errors one after another as the scene played out, which prove the conversation that actually happened between the two girls was completely different to how we saw it as viewers.
When Bre and Amanda first sat down, there was clearly a woman on the table behind Bre, having a drink. Bre and Amanda discussed the office dynamic, and who was getting on with who at that moment. At first, all seemed normal.
They then got into Amanda saying she had a “little bit of drama” to discuss, and then that’s when the editing errors started happening. Suddenly out of nowhere, the woman behind Bre had disappeared.
Then, within less than a minute, Amanda got her phone out to show texts about the cheating scandal, and the woman was back in her seat behind Bre. But, one second later, as Amanda started to read the very first sentence of the texts, the woman was gone again! For her to have moved this quick, there simply MUST have been more said. Either that, or she is a magic time traveller.
Were there other texts before this that were read out but cut? I need to know! The girls then started to scroll through the texts on Amanda’s phone, and the woman was… you guessed it, back again!
As they scrolled through all the messages and debriefed on all the claims, the woman disappeared and appeared once more. That means in total, she appeared and disappeared throughout the conversation five whole times. FIVE.
This section of the conversation was shown to us viewers as being continuous over a five minute period, when in fact the amount the extra in the background was moving around, this simply can’t have been the case.
Either the conversation has been severely chopped up and moved around, so pretty much everything in the chat is out of context, or huge chucks of the chat has been cut out – which means we probably missed more texts, more context, and more drama. Or tbh, knowing how dodgy the editing has been on Selling Sunset in the past, it’s probably both.
So basically, all the huge revelations in this conversation were really nothing like how it actually went down at the time. Netflix, drop the full and unedited chat now!
