Inside the lavish filming locations of The Perfect Couple on Netflix

If you aren’t spending today and the majority of the weekend binging The Perfect Couple on Netflix without even pausing for air or moving from your bed, then I’m not actually sure what you’re doing with your life. Get it together! And get watching. One of the best things about The Perfect Couple on Netflix is the mood it sets via its utterly gorgeous locations – so here’s a look inside all the filming spots the show used to get the setting perfect.

Obviously, this is a show about really rich people being murderous and deceptive – so of course it needs a spot like that to suit the tale and the opulence. The Perfect Couple tells the story of a bride named Amelia whose perfect wedding and marriage to Benji and his very rich family is derailed by the murder of her maid of honour Merritt. But all this drama needs the filming locations to back it up, so here’s all the spots used in The Perfect Couple

It was shot in Nantucket in Massachusetts

Nantucket is a little island off Cape Cod, and is known as an extremely luxury destination for wealthy holidaymakers on America’s east coast. It has loads of gorgeous beaches and a town centre with extremely luxury boutiques. It’s not far from New York City, so wealthy New Yorkers holiday here a lot.

Most of the show was actually”shot extensively on Nantucket itself”, says Elin Hilderbrand who who wrote the book.

Where is the Summerland mansion from the show?

Most of the action revolves around the Summerland mansion house the group are staying at, but despite this being on Nantucket in the show it was actually filmed on the mainland of Cape Cod in a coastal town called Chatham. Hilderbrand says “The majority of The Perfect Couple was filmed on location in Chatham, [so] the production will have an authentic Cape and island feel.”

There is also a scene in London Zoo near the end of the show, and this was shot on location in West London.
