Savage reviews and site bans: Chaos with Sean’s business whilst he’s in the villa continues

The sweets man is going to have a bit of a mess to sort out when he’s back

Sean has made it his personal mission whilst he’s been in the Love Island 2024 villa that everyone will know he owns a sweets business. But right now, he’s not exactly everyone’s favourite Islander, and his brand has taken the brunt of that.

Since Casa, Sean has been right up there as one of the most talked about Islanders this year. Most recently, he seems to be obsessed with Mimii’s situation, and has been rubbing everyone up the wrong way. So, how did the British public react to this? Leaving one star reviews of his company, of course! It’s terrible, really.

Sean owns Sweet Delivery, a brand which specialises in making pouches of sweets that are delivered straight to your door. This has turned into a bit of a saga in the last couple of days, so here’s everything that’s been going down.

Whilst he’s been in the Love Island villa, people have been leaving savage reviews for Sean’s sweet business

The overall rating of Sweet Delivery has plummeted on Trustpilot in recent days, now down to 1.7 stars average, giving it a rating of “bad” overall. “If there was an option to give this business zero stars I would,” one person said, adding that “an owner makes the company” and they are unimpressed with “what I’ve seen on Love Island.”

“The sweets weren’t good at all, and to top it off, the owner, Sean, was incredibly rude,” another said. Whilst someone else said “the owner picks on people.” One other review called the brand “absolutely disgusting” and added: “These sweets will be going straight in the bin just like the owner should be (SEAN).”

Sweet Delivery took its website down whilst demand was so high

As all of the reviews were flooding in, the Sweet Delivery website was forced to shut down due to demand. On its site there was a message telling customers it was no longer taking any more orders.

“We have experienced a large volume of orders, we are working as hard as we can,” the message read. “Please check back tomorrow, we aim to be back open as soon as possible! We are still taking orders through TikTok shop click here for huge savings!”

The website has since been restored.

Sean’s sister clapped back at people leaving the reviews

Sean is the brand owner, but the store is very much a family affair, with his brother and sister stepping in whilst he’s in the villa. His sister has been backing him whilst he’s been on the show, and clapped back at people trying to tarnish the brand.

She posted on Instagram to say they had woken up to “a ridiculous amount of bad reviews” and said they are “false” and “will be taken down.” She added: “Sean has worked ridiculously hard for the last three years to build an amazing reputation for Sweet Delivery, so for people to try and take that away because of a reality TV show is quite sad.”

The Trustpilot page for Sweet Delivery has been taken down whilst the reviews are looked into

Right now, nobody can leave a review of Sweet Delivery on Trustpilot, due to the increase in attention the page has been getting. This is whilst the site investigates the influx of reviews, and the ban has been in place for a couple of days.

The error message that displays when you go on the Trustpilot listing for the brand tells you that due to a “media storm” it has been “temporarily suspended” but will be “reinstated in the near future”. What a mess!
