From friendship bracelets to merch: The most iconic Taylor Swift easter eggs in The Bear

I’m sorry but if The Bear wasn’t already enough of an incredible show, it firmly secured its status in season two when Richie belted out Love Story in his car, creating one of the best Taylor Swift easter egg moments of all time. Since that iconic moment season three of The Bear has been released, and you’d best believe they made sure to include plenty of Taylor Swift easter eggs, from friendship bracelets to throwback merch.

And it seems the producers are just as much of a fan of Taylor as the rest of us are, with Josh Senior previously explaining how they managed to secure Love Story. He revealed: “No, [it wasn’t hard]. A lot of people ask that question, and I wonder why they’re asking. Her team was like, ‘Great. This is cool. How much money do you have? You have that much money? Let’s go.’ She was exceedingly generous and cool with one of our actors singing along to the song. Those are things that sometimes people just say no to, and that was probably one of the easiest songs to clear.”

So, with the thumbs up of approval from the singer herself, here are all the most iconic Taylor Swift easter eggs in season three of The Bear.

Richie’s daughter having an Eras Tour blanket plus nod to Travis Kelce

In one scene with Richie and his daughter Eva, you can easily spot her purple Era’s Tour blanket, with the album cover on top of it. Not only that, but Richie is also wearing an NFL jacket which some fans have speculated could be a nod to Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce who pays for the Kansas City Chiefs.

When Richie met Tiffany’s fiance Frank for the first time the song Long Live by Taylor Swift started playing in the background. Gillian Jacobs who plays Tiffany discussed whether the addition of the song was part of the original script.

She revealed: “That was put in because it’s a song that Annie, who plays our daughter, was really into at the time we were shooting season three. I think that’s sweet and I love that it’s a callback to the other Taylor Swift moments. It makes total sense that Frank would want to be a Swiftie dad. He has his nails painted in that scene, and I’m sure he’s got his friendship bracelets ready to go.”
