Since Nigel Farage entered the I’m A Celeb jungle, there’s been serious interest in his love life, to the extent “Nigel Farage girlfriend” and “Nigel Farage wife” have been trending almost every single night. Why we’re so captivated by his escapades is anyone’s guess— maybe it’s because all the other camp mates won’t stop talking about how good his bum looks for a 59-year-old.

Anyway, in case you’re also wondering who Nigel is coupled up with, when he left his wife, and whether his so-called “secret girlfriend” will be meeting him on his I’m A Celeb exit, here’s everything you need to know about the former UKIP leader’s love life:

Okay, so who is Nigel Farage actually dating right now?

For years, Nigel Farage’s relationship has been one of the worst kept secrets in Westminster. But this week, sources “close” to him have seemingly confirmed his rumoured relationship with a 28-year-old French politician called Laure Ferrari.

Nigel and Laure reportedly first met in 2007 while she was working as a waitress in Strasbourg. After they’d met, Nigel gave Laure her first job in politics – a parliamentary assistant role in charge of enviromental issues. And they both then began working together in European Parliament.

Laure was also previously head of a Eurosceptic think tank, the Institute for Direct Democracy in Europe, which was accused of illegally diverting public money to benefit UKIP in 2017.

Around the same time, Nigel had moved Laure into his £4million Chelsea home as his “lodger” because she supposedly had nowhere else to live: “She is someone I have worked with and known for a long time who wanted somewhere to stay for a week that wouldn’t cost her any money,” Nigel claimed to reporters in February 2017. “It’s a working relationship. You can inflate it however you want to.”

The pair were later seen slow-dancing at a party celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Brexit vote, where one guest claimed there was “no question” they were a couple as they “twerked” together.

Wait, so what happened to Nigel Farage’s last girlfriend Annabel Fuller?

If rumours are true, Nigel Farage is a seriously sought after man. And Laure has been in an ongoing spat with his former mistress, Annabel Fuller – who has claimed her 12 year affair started with Nigel in 2004 – for years.

When Nigel was rushed to hospital after the near-fatal plane crash in 2010, which he mentioned on I’m A Celeb this week, Annabel claimed she went to hospital to see him but his second wife and Laure (who she claims “barged” her out of the way) were already there.

Two years later, Laure reportedly sent Annabel a savage email saying British women are “drunken tarts” who “can put themselves in embarrassing situations with well-known married men whom they kiss in public” but that French women “can be very discreet and respectful hiding a sincere love affair for 3 years and 6 months… not looking for any kind of publicity at all.”

“Laure and Annabelle absolutely hated each other and made no effort to hide it,” a source told The Sun. “They actively sought to bring each other down in Nigel’s eyes.”
