Catherine apologises for ‘uncomfortable’ arguments between her and Scott on Love Island
‘I know that was very hard for a lot of people to watch’
Catherine has apologised for her treatment of Scott following the Casa Amor recoupling in her first interview since being dumped from Love Island.
Scott and Catherine were couple up together before Casa Amor began and Scott was left single when Catherine brought Elom back to the main villa. In the aftermath, viewers saw Catherine and Scott arguing and a lot of people called out Catherine for the way she spoke to Scott and her treatment of him.
She has since apologised for it, saying the moments were even “uncomfortable” for her to watch. During an appearance on the Love Island: The Morning After podcast, Catherine set the record straight and issued an apology to viewers for her behaviour towards Scott following the Casa Amor recoupling.
“I just obviously wanted to touch on the fire pit moment between me and Scott,” she explained. “Obviously that was very hard for a lot of people to watch and I do want to apologise for that.
“I know it was uncomfortable to watch, even looking back at that I’m like, ‘Oh my god'”. Catherine was quickly cut off with co-host Sam Thompson who said she didn’t need to apologise and that she was on a “social experiment” and had a right to explore her connections.
Since her argument with Scott, Catherine was dumped from Love Island alongside Elom in a shock double dumping. Scott remains in the villa with Abi following being saved by the public for a second time.
