This year’s Married at First Sight Australia cast all have some pretty interesting careers and a lot of them are big time CEOs at their own companies, but it’s time for a closer look into what they did for a living before appearing on the experiment. Before all the followers and the marriage, here’s what the MAFS Australia cast did for a living, according to their LinkedIn profiles.

MAFS Australia groom Layton Mills is the CEO at AusCann, an Australian-based pharmaceutical company “focused on the development, production and distribution of cannabinoid-based medicines within Australia and internationally.” Whatever that means!

Layton has been CEO of AusCann for two years, according to his LinkedIn. But before that he was the founder and CEO of CannPal Animal Therapeutics.

CannPal is an animal health company, “with a mission to provide pet owners and veterinarians with access to evidence based plant derived therapeutic products, with a focus on compounds derived from the cannabis plant.”

His other jobs include being the director at Tanlay Food Group and Capital Food Group.

His profile photo is a professional shot of him and a dog and it’s a mega power move.

Ollie’s LinkedIn says he is a voice over artist and media professional and he has super impressive resume.

For a little under a year Ollie worked as a business development manager at Fortus before he began to work at Southern Cross Austereo as an account manager. According to Linkedin, Southern Cross Austereo is “one of Australia’s leading media companies”.

Ollie’s voice over work is really impressive too. He has worked with Moore Creative Artists for over 15 years and done voice over work for brands like Ben’s Original Rice, Manscaped and Koala Mattress.

Melinda

Melinda is a girlboss through and through with a ton of her own businesses started from the ground up.

Melinda’s LinkedIn notes every single one of her businesses and a string of jobs she worked before becoming the entrepreneur she is today.

Before she opened up her businesses, Melinda worked as cabin crew for Virgin Australia and then as an executive personal assistant and then her beauty empire began.

In 2018, Melinda founded Feather Sisters, an “innovative beauty and cosmetic product” business. Some of her products include a microblading brow pen, a brow growth serum and a lash extension sleep mask.

As the years have gone on, Melinda has opened Melly’s Beauty Parlour, MW Lashes and BSSA, a body-sculpting fashion company.

Dan introduced himself as “semi-retired” when he first appeared on MAFS Australia but from the looks of his LinkedIn, it seems he is grinding more than ever.

In 2002, Dan set up his own digital marketing business, Edge Marketing, and was the CEO from November 2019 to July 2020. After 20 years he stepped down as company owner and became a self-employed digital marketing consultant.

In his latest business venture, Dan has set up his own tequila bar and Mexican cantina called Nacho Baby.
