Um, Olivia from Love Island was in tonight’s episode of EastEnders and I am so confused
What is going on here?
Hayley SoenOlivia Hawkins from Love Island 2023 was just on EastEnders. No you’re not seeing things, she really was.
Olivia, as in the ring girl and actress we have just met this week entering the Love Island villa in South Africa, was in EastEnders tonight (Wednesday 18th) making a short lil cameo in the soap.
It was only fleeting, but Olivia was seen side-eyeing Sam Mitchell towards the end of tonight’s episode, and people who caught it have been going mad for it. One wrote: “Not me watching tonight’s EastEnders on iPlayer and Olivia from Love Island pops up as an extra.”
Love Island has confirmed that yes – it is Olivia working as an extra in the soap! Speaking ahead of her time in the villa, the actress did say she has a connection to Albert Square already. “I actually did [body] doubling for Whitney for one of the new year’s episodes,” she said, before admitting a role on the soap would be something she’d be up for. “So yeah, that would be a very full circle moment to go on and be one of the characters, even if it was just a drop in.”
Olivia has a seriously varied CV, and has been a ring girl for the YouTuber KSI, played a waitress in No Time To Die with Daniel Craig, was a body double for Michelle Keegan and Emma Watson, and has been in music videos for artists including Craig David and Tom Zanetti. Casual!
She was also in a promo vid for Love Island 2019, where she can be seen getting ice cream from Islander Joe Garrett when he was introduced as a cast member.
Umm, she keeps busy!
