The Bridgerton cast is ‘angry’ their sex scenes are on porn sites

Netflix is reportedly working tirelessly to have Bridgerton sex scenes removed from porn sites.

According to The Sun, the cast of Bridgerton and the team at Netflix are angry and horrified the many sex scenes from the series have ended up on porn streaming sites.

An insider said: “Bridgerton’s sex scenes appearing alongside some of the most obscene material the web has to offer has sparked horror and anger.

“Raunchy set-pieces have contributed to the buzz but it is a prestige drama based on best-selling novels.”

A source told The Sun, Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page, who play the main characters Daphne Bridgerton and The Duke, are said to be particularly distressed their sex scenes have ended up on porn sites.

They said: “To peddle scenes as pure smut is beyond the pale.

“It’s been particularly distressing for Phoebe and Regé-Jean, two young actors who signed on for the role of a lifetime and did not consent to being exploited in this way.”

Many clips have now been removed and some users have been suspended from sites. One video which was uploaded included all the sex scenes from the eight-part series and was 27 minutes long.

Netflix are said to be working tirelessly to remove all the videos.  A source said: “Netflix have been working tirelessly to hunt down pirates and eliminate misuse of their intellectual property. Anyone thinking about trying this will have the full force of the globe’s biggest streaming service against them.”

Last year the BBC faced similar problems when the sex scenes from Normal People ended up on porn sites, with one user merging a number of scenes into a 22 minute video.
