Lydia confirms her ‘nightmare’ divorce from Milton is finalised after Love Is Blind
'Letting go required more strength than holding on ever did'
Lydia Gonzalez has confirmed that she and Milton are officially divorced after she announced their split in June 2025.
Lydia first announced their split back in June during an appearance on the Reality Receipts podcast with AD Smith, saying the past three years of their marriage had been “tumultuous.”
She explained: “I’ve been quiet for too long but now I’m ready, but I wasn’t ready for people’s opinions. Now, I’ve decided to file for divorce against Milton. It wasn’t one thing, it was a layer of situations that just kept piling up.”

Lydia revealed that Milton was unaware of her appearing on the podcast, and was “worried about the public perception who idolised them.”
She said: “This isn’t to have a pity party, I still love him unfortunately. But that’s me, and I’m not going to apologise for loving this hard.”
Lydia also revealed that she and Milton hadn’t spoken since March and the relationship between the former Love Is Blind co-stars was “non-existent.”
Milton then responded to her divorce petition, with Us Weekly exclusively revealing that he accusing her of “cruel treatment” against him.
He responded to her divorce petition on Friday 26th September, and requested for her petition to be dismissed, alongside filing his own counterclaim against her.
Milton claimed that Lydia was “guilty of cruel treatment” toward him of a “nature that renders further living together insupportable” following their wedding on Love Is Blind.

But hopefully both of them can put it all behind them as Lydia posted an emotional statement to announce her divorce from Milton after Love Is Blind being finalised.
She wrote: “On El Día de los Reyes Magos, I received an unexpected gift. Closure. Freedom. The quiet certainty that a chapter had fully ended. My divorce became final.
“It was a weighty awakening. Even as I once prayed for the nightmare to end, I came to understand that what was truly ending was a season of my life. Letting go required more strength than holding on ever did.
“There was a time when divorce felt like something to hide, a mark of failure I carried in silence. Now, I wear that scar with pride. It shaped me, softened me, and ultimately led me back to myself.”

She continued: “My heart chose remembrance over bitterness, to honor what was beautiful and to wish happiness, even if it was not found with me.
“I move forward without resentment, without malice, only with gratitude for having known love, however fleeting, however blind. There was magic in it once, and that is worth keeping.
“To anyone standing in the quiet aftermath of love, hold steady. I release this chapter with peace. My heart is unburdened. I step forward open, hopeful, and free. And for me, love will always be blind.”
She added to Us Weekly in a statement: “I’m thrilled to announce that Milton and I are officially divorced.
“It was a fairytale marriage until it wasn’t, and I wish him nothing but the very best. 2025 was a year of goodbyes, and 2026 will be a year to reset. I can’t thank everyone enough for their love and support during the worst year of my life!”
