Hilary Musser breaks silence on what REALLY happened when she divorced her ex-husband
'He was one of the two great loves of my life'
EXCLUSIVE: Hilary Musser has revealed what really happened when she divorced her ex-husband, Pete Musser. At one point, he was a billionaire, but in October 2000, Hilary claims Pete lost all of his money and was sadly left with $40 million in debt.
She married him a month later, with her telling Reality Shrine that she did not marry him when he was a billionaire, but rather when that title was no longer true. Hilary told us: “My son’s father was really one of the two great loves of my life.”
“He had an unfortunate circumstance where before he got married, he became a billionaire on paper. I became $100m on paper and in two months, I married him while he was $40 million in debt. I really loved him. I had to bail him out,” Hilary claimed.

Hilary explained how Pete kept borrowing more money to invest and “owed too much money,” which led to the board on the business he worked for having to fire him, which “really crushed him.” She described it as the “untold story” of their marriage.
She went on to say how Pete was still going strong at 92 years old, when he got into a car accident, and sadly died. Hilary told us: “My kid is 22, his Dad passed when he was 16. There’s a lot of emotion with Cooper, so it was pretty low of the girls to lie about him.”

Rosalyn Yellin and Gale Brophy both claimed on the show that Hilary’s ex-husband was 59 years older than her, which she has stated isn’t true, as he was 38 years older than her. “Those girls have no shame using that on the show, it was really disgusting,” she said.
She said: “Cooper is the most important thing in the world to me and he was really hurting when they said something about his father. It’s already hard enough for him to be that age and be without a Dad. He was a great Dad and people loved him.”
