Members Only: Palm Beach’s Rosalyn paid tribute to family member who survived the Holocaust
She sadly lost her earlier this year
Sadly, Rosalyn Yellin from Members Only: Palm Beach lost a family member earlier this year: her grandma. She was 103 years old at the time of her death in March and was well-known as a Holocaust survivor, described by Rosalyn as a “very strong woman”.
Rosalyn, who has lost her mother, revealed her grandma “is with her mum in heaven.” She said: “My grandmother was a holocaust survivor. She was a very strong woman who fled Nazis escaping and hiding through Europe and Turkey and made her way to Palestine.”
“She was caught several times taken to camps and even jail. She had deep scars in her back from being whipped and her scars haunted me as a child. After the war, she reunited with my grandfather who had helped her flee the Nazis,” Rosalyn continued.

Rosalyn revealed her grandma worked with the Jewish underground to help save lives during the Holocaust, while her grandfather was captured and taken to Auschwitz. She said: “Days away from death, he was liberated by the Americans.”
“My grandmother and grandfather have amazing stories of survival, resilience, praying for a brighter future and a strong belief in God. Many of you have known my grandmother through the years as I have posted her quite a bit on Facebook,” Rosalyn wrote.
She added: “She loved to sing and dance and bake. Some of my favourite childhood memories are being in my grandmother and grandfather‘s home in Mays Landing, New Jersey on their farm where they worked with their two hands to put food on the table.”
“She leaves a legacy of 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Bubby I love you so much. Thank you for surviving so I could be here today. I hope you are watching over us and you are with my mom in heaven. ❤️💔🪽🕊️,” Rosalyn said.
