Erm, apparently an actual Love Island movie based around the show is in the works?!
As long as Iain Stirling is still the narrator
So, I don’t know who asked for this but apparently an actual Love Island movie based around the iconic series is in talks to be made, and genuinely just why?
According to Deadline, ITV America is very strongly considering adapting the series for the screen, as the show has become hugely popular in America as well as the UK version and other spinoffs also garnering millions of viewers each season.

David George, CEO of ITV America which producers the show for Peacock in the USA, told Deadline that he’s been in talks about making the series into a movie as part of a wider strategy for the series to take more advantage of its own IP.
And whilst an official name for the film hasn’t been confirmed yet, it’s currently going by Love Island: The Movie, an inventive name if I’ve ever heard one.

David explained that the sudden success of Love Island in America, with season six taking the country by storm, became a “lightning bolt” for him and made him realise that the series works more like a sport than a television show.
George also recently took over leadership in for ITV America’s scripted strategy department, so he really could get a film made by the sounds of it.
If the Love Island movie was to go ahead, it would be the first time a reality show would have been into a film, with George adding: “We are open to expanding the possibilities of what that brand is.”
As long as Iain Stirling has a role in it, ideally still as the narrator, then we’re all sorted.
