Just how much Heather Gay is worth as people can’t stop talking about *that* Below Deck tip
It's literally an eye-watering amount
Just when Heather Gay thought she was done talking about money, a little yacht trip kicked off a whole new round of questions.
After the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City crew made their surprise appearance on Below Deck Down Under, people suddenly wanted to know two things. Firstly, how wealthy Heather really is these days, and second, whether that envelope she handed over at the end of the charter was as hefty as it looked.
With the crossover episode fuelling curiosity, everyone is now trying to figure out how much the Beauty Lab mogul is actually worth, and what exactly happened with that tip.
What is Heather Gay’s net worth?

Heather Gay’s net worth is currently estimated at around $1.7 million, per StyleCaster. It’s a hefty sum, but it doesn’t even put her in the top three richest Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
Apparently, Lisa Barlow, Mary Cosby, and Angie Katsanevas are the richest of the group, all with estimated net worths of $5 million, per Parade.
While Bravo hasn’t confirmed Heather’s estimated net worth, it lines up neatly with the empire she’s built over the last few years. She co-founded Beauty Lab + Laser in 2017, a business that has been heavily featured on RHOSLC and has grown into one of Utah’s most recognisable med spas.
Heather’s Bravo income also forms a significant part of her wealth, spanning five seasons as a full-time Housewife, an appearance on Ultimate Girls Trip, a stint on Below Deck Adventure, and countless Watch What Happens Live episodes.
Heather’s book career adds another layer. She became a New York Times bestseller in 2023 with her memoir Bad Mormon, and followed it with her second book, Good Time Girl, in 2024.
More recently, she fronted Bravo’s limited documentary series Surviving Mormonism with Heather Gay, which gave her yet another Bravo-backed project.
Heather has also been candid about the money she’s spent on her appearance. She previously told People that she has put roughly $200,000 into cosmetic procedures, including injectables, surgeries and $30,000 veneers, meaning a noticeable slice of her net worth is literally in her face.
People are dying to know more about that Below Deck tip

The viral Below Deck moment happened on the superyacht Katina during the RHOSLC cast trip.
When the Housewives gathered to thank the crew, Heather stepped forward as primary charter guest and handed Captain Jason a large white envelope stuffed with cash. She called it a “small token of appreciation” and encouraged the crew to go celebrate.
Since then, Heather has cleared up a few details.
On Watch What Happens Live, she confirmed that the gratuity was entirely real and personally paid for by the Housewives, per Bravo.
Everyone chipped in, and Heather covered anything missing to make the tip generous enough for the crew. She also stressed that production did not cover the gratuity. The money came directly from their pockets and was treated just like any other charter tip on the show.
Historically, Below Deck tips usually land in the five-figure range, with past charters documented at anywhere from $20,000 to over $35,000.
So while Heather wasn’t suddenly operating at billionaire levels, she certainly didn’t hand over small change either. Between Beauty Lab, Bravo paychecks, bestselling books and a very real tip envelope, she has clearly built a financial life that lets her lean into her Good Time Girl era and enjoy it comfortably!
