Jason reveals the real reason he gave Alex the Cypress listing over Gio on Selling The OC
Gio was robbed
I won’t lie, after he’s made over $100 million in sale for The Oppeneheim Group, I really thought Jason was going to give Gio the Cypress listing on Selling The OC, but we were all mistaken.
I still think he was robbed.
During the announcement on the show, Jason briefly mentioned that Gio was “too deserving” of the $15 million listing, but now he’s elaborated on why he chose to give the listing to Alex Hall.

Talking to Tudum, Jason explained: “Gio’s career is already taking off. He is already super, super successful. I think Alex is just right on the precipice.
“So as much as it might not have been fair to everyone, I gave it to Alex because, one, she produces, and two, she works really hard and balances work-life very well.
“And I also just think that she could use the listing to help bolster her career.”
As for how Gio feels about Alex getting the Cypress listing over him on Selling The OC, well he hints that he felt disrespected by Jason.

He admitted: “I think I deserved it as much as Hall, if not more. And it’s not so much the one listing. I felt like, for me, it was what that Cypress listing represented, as far as respect in Jason’s eyes.”
As for whether Alex has managed to actually sell the property yet, Jason has decided he’s putting the $15 million listing on pause for a while, as the time isn’t right.
Talking to realtor.com, Alex revealed: “It’s still not been taken to market yet actively.
“There’s still tenants currently living in the home and Jason and I both agree that it’s not a property we want to try to take on selling while there is somebody living in the home.”
