After *that* chaotic season, Layla and Miranda reveal where the Mormon Wives stand with Demi
Will the dust ever actually settle with these ladies?
If you came out of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season three wondering if anyone is still speaking to Demi Engemann, you’re not alone.
Between Jessi’s affair drama, ‘shove-gate’ at Halloween and multiple screaming matches at influencer events, the show basically turned into a real-time audit of Demi’s friendships.
Now that the dust has (kind of) settled, Layla Taylor and Miranda Hope are spelling out where things actually stand with their once-close castmate.
Layla says it’s strictly ‘co-exist and be cordial’

In a new Elite Daily interview, Layla explains that, at this point, her goal is to keep things professional with Demi rather than rebuild a deep friendship.
She points out that they still end up in the same rooms constantly, from MomTok tapings to brand events, so she’s focused on being “cordial” and avoiding a repeat of those public blow-ups people watched unfold all season.
Layla stresses that her biggest issue with Demi was how she handled Jessi Ngatikaura’s emotional affair with Marciano Brunette. On the show, Demi repeatedly tried to disprove Jessi’s version of events and pushed the idea that there was a full physical affair, which only inflamed the rift between the former best friends, per TooFab.
According to Layla, she and Demi now see each other at work-related events, sit near each other at things like Dancing With the Stars tapings and MomTok collabs, and keep it polite. She told TooFab she’s fine maintaining that “professional atmosphere” these days.
Miranda is keeping Demi at arm’s length

Miranda’s stance is similar, but a little icier.
Her feud with Demi centred on “shove-gate”, when Demi claimed Miranda’s ex, Chase McWhorter, shoved her at a party.
Miranda has said it was frustrating watching Demi seemingly change her story about both the shove and the Marciano situation, and she’s been clear that the whole thing damaged any lingering closeness between them.
Speaking to Elite Daily, Miranda admits they’ve spoken “a little bit” since filming wrapped, but says that, for now, “keeping her at arm’s length is definitely better.”
She still has “reservations” about Demi, yet also notes she has empathy for how intense the online hate has become and doesn’t want to add to that pile-on. Her ideal middle ground is staying civil, not wishing Demi ill, but also not pretending they’re besties again, apparently.
So where does the wider MomTok crew stand?

Layla and Miranda both make it clear that the tightest bond to come out of the chaos is actually with each other.
They also didn’t shy away from saying they think Demi has “changed for the worse” since the show began, while most of the other women have either stayed the same or, in Whitney Leavitt’s case, changed “for the better.”
As for Demi, she’s still very much in the mix. While she isn’t exactly in everyone’s inner circle anymore, she hasn’t been iced out of MomTok. She’s still showing up at influencer events, filming content, and appearing in group TikToks, so she remains very much part of the wider creator crew.
