1000-lb Sisters’ Amy just got married but Tammy savagely wasn’t her maid of honour
This is absolutely brutal, even for them
Weddings usually bring families closer together, but in the Slaton household, things are never that simple.
1000-lb Sisters star Amy Slaton just tied the knot again, this time in a dramatic Halloween-themed ceremony that’s already got the internet talking.
From her gothic lace gown to the rose-coloured hair, it was everything you’d expect from the TLC favourite. But amid the spooky decor and heartfelt vows, one detail had viewers doing a double-take, her sister Tammy didn’t seem to be playing her usual starring role.

Hold onto your hats, Amy Slaton from 1000‑lb Sisters has officially walked down the aisle. After a whirlwind romance of only five months, Amy said ‘I do’ to boyfriend Brian Lovvorn in a Halloween-themed ceremony at the spooky-chic Talbott Tavern in Bardstown, Kentucky, per People.
The bride embraced full gothic-yet-Victorian vibes, a sleeveless white lace gown, deep pink hair, a black tiara, and plenty of moody décor. Brian sported a classic tux with tails and a black bowtie.
Amy described the day as “a dream finally coming true” and noted how her sons, Gage and Glenn, and friends made the day special.
It doesn’t look like Tammy was in the bridal party
Here’s where it gets juicy. Amy did not pick her sister Tammy Slaton as maid of honour. Instead, Amy selected her close friend Ollisha Davis to fill the role, marking a clear departure from tradition (in 2019, Tammy had served as Amy’s maid of honour).
Amy explained that choosing her wedding party was “a profound challenge,” but she “intuitively knew” Ollisha would accept the role graciously.
Meanwhile, Tammy appears to have attended the wedding as a guest, not in a formal bridal party role. She was visible but seemingly not among the posed bridal photos.
During the sisters’ show, Tammy and Amy argued about the wedding’s location. Tammy said she’d be “more than willing to go” and even “be a bridesmaid,” but “not somewhere that’s cursed.”
