Motivational speaker to hairdresser: Here’s what jobs the Educating Yorkshire students do now
One of them dreamed of becoming Prime Minister
The Educating Yorkshire cast have been super busy since they moved on from school and secured jobs. From a motivational speaker to a pandemic, many of the original pupils have gone onto do amazing things, and it’s a credit to the education they grew up learning.
Musharaf Asghar
Musharaf, known as Mushy, has become quite well-known for his motivational speeches and works as an award-winning journalist. He even appeared on a recent Educating Yorkshire episode to reunite with his former headteacher!
Ryan Ward
Ryan didn’t become the Prime Minister like he planned, but he’s still successful. He works for his parents’ flooring company but has sadly expressed that the “real world is harder than he anticipated,” and sometimes records himself singing metal music.
Tom Foster
Class clown Tom went to college for two years after the show, and has done several manual labour jobs since, including working nights. He stated that since school, he hasn’t done “much really, just college for two years then work”.
Sheridan Holdgate
Sheridan was one of the school’s popular students on Educating Yorkshire, and struggled to get good grades. She studied public services at college and was still working to pass her maths exam, according to a 2020 YouTube video, and is a busy mum and digital creator now.
‘Eyebrows girl’ Bailey Hill
Bailey works as a hairdresser at Colletts Salon, even though she was famously known for shaving her eyebrows off on the show. She’s also found love with a guy called Ryan, and loves to spend her downtime going on nights out with the girls.
Kamrrem Harris

Kamrrem was just 13 years old on the show, and was jailed after being found guilty of inflicting grievous bodily harm, violent disorder and possessing an offensive weapon and was jailed for 27 months in a young offenders institution.
