In Hollywood, the quest for eternal youth often leads celebrities to the surgeon’s table.
While some opt for subtle enhancements, others undergo transformations so dramatic that they’re genuinely leaving us in total awe.
From subtle lifts to complete overhauls, these before-and-after stories highlight the lengths to which stars go to maintain their youthful appearances.
Jane Fonda
Jane Fonda, the iconic actress and activist, has been open about her cosmetic procedures. Over the years, she has undergone several tweaks, each contributing to her ageless look. She reportedly went under the knife for a facelift in her forties, and later had another in her seventies.
Her transformations have sparked discussions about ageing gracefully in the public eye. In 2022, Jane opened up to Vogue about getting a facelift. In her eighties, she said: “I had a facelift and I stopped because I don’t want to look distorted. I’m not proud of the fact that I had one.”
Even though she’s opted for some surgeries, she’s one famous face to really keep things real. She shared her Met Gala ‘before and after’ back in 2017 – when she was 80 years old!
Kris Jenner
Kris Jenner has openly acknowledged undergoing a facelift and neck lift. She discussed her procedures on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, highlighting her commitment to maintaining a youthful appearance.
More recently, her facelift pretty much broke the internet. Kris is single-handedly making the term deep plane facelift famous at this point. She told Vogue Arabia that 15 years on from her first facelift she wanted a “refresh” and said it was her way of “ageing gracefully.”
Marc Jacobs
Fashion designer Marc Jacobs has also publicly shared his experience with a deep-plane facelift, a technique known for its natural-looking results.
He documented his journey on Instagram, offering a candid look at his transformation. He captioned his post: “F*** gravity” in a bid to improve transparency around plastic surgery, per Vogue. His before-and-after results were documented by the New York Center For Facial Plastic Surgery.
Courtney Love
Musician and actress Courtney Love reportedly admitted to undergoing a mini facelift at the age of 35.
Apparently, the procedure was suggested to her by Goldie Hawn and was an attempt at “prejuvenation,” or preventive rejuvenation – basically, to look younger before signs of ageing really set in.
Sonja Morgan
Reality TV star Sonja Morgan has undergone a deep-plane facelift, which she has publicly acknowledged. She has spoken about her procedures in interviews, emphasising her satisfaction with the results.
According to Gilpin Facial, “Sonja Morgan easily removed a decade of aging with a much more sculpted jawline and reduction in cheek sagging.”
Gene Simmons
Musician Gene Simmons has confirmed undergoing a facelift to address sagging jowls and neck skin.
He has discussed his decision to have the procedure in a 2007 People interview, noting the positive impact on his appearance.
Gene said: “I was aware I had jowls,” following opting for surgery with his partner, Shannon Tweed.
Sharon Osbourne

Sharon Osbourne has never been shy about her cosmetic surgery journey, but her most recent facelift in 2021 is one she wishes she could forget. The Osbournes star has admitted to having three facelifts over the years, but the latest, she told The Sunday Times in 2023, was “horrendous.”
According to Sharon, the results left her face looking completely distorted. “One eye was different to the other, my mouth was skewwhiff, it looked like I had one eye higher than the other. “I looked like a Cyclops,” she said. The surgery was also incredibly painful, and she described the recovery process as long and difficult.
In later interviews, Sharon revealed she was so unhappy with the results that her late husband Ozzy even commented that it didn’t look like her. Speaking to People, she said the experience was enough to put her off plastic surgery altogether: “Time is against me. I cannot have another facelift.”
Vicki Gunvalson
Reality TV star Vicki Gunvalson has undergone a facelift and neck lift, which she has openly discussed.
She shared her experiences with ET in 2018 after her friend, Tamra Judge, “told her to get a facelift.” Vicki also said she had all her fillers taken out. “Before I knew it, I didn’t look like myself,” she said.
After getting the fillers removed, which the doctor said was “like granulated sugar,” she said she swore to her doctor she won’t be getting any more work done.
Jacqueline Laurita
Jacqueline Laurita documented her five-hour facelift and neck lift procedure on IG, sharing her recovery journey with the world.
She took to social media wearing bandages on her head and said it was “day five” after her deep plane facelift.
Jacqueline, a former Real Housewives of New Jersey star, explained how her “tissue and contour” was being “held in place” to keep her face “high and tight.”
“I’m still really red today and swollen,” she added.

Per Daily Mail, Jessica said: “I spend £10,000 a month alone in face and body procedures to delay my natural ageing process…”
She also confirmed she’s spent over £1 million on surgery and opted to go under the knife 100 times on This Morning.
