Sadly multiple MAFS stars have passed away over the years due to various reasons, with one of them being found just last month after being found “unresponsive” in his home.
Lachlan Rofe

Former MAFS Australia cast members have been leaving tributes to Lachlan Rofe after the season one groom unexpectedly passed away earlier in September.
47 year old former MAFS groom Lachlan Rofe was found “unresponsive” in his house around 10am on Tuesday morning, and despite paramedics best efforts they were “unable to revive him.”
His death is currently being investigated by the police, who stated: “Emergency services were called to a home in Razorback, where they found a man unresponsive. Ambulance paramedics commenced CPR but they were unable to revive him.
“Investigations are continuing into the circumstances and anyone with any information is urged to contact Camden Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
Tributes from other former MAFS Australia cast members came in after his death, with Ryan Donnelly and Lachlan’s co-star Michael O’Dea paying their respects.
Ryan wrote: “Wow, that’s tragic. I was born in Camden, very sad to lose a local so young RIP.”
Michael told Yahoo News that he’s it’s “very sad news” and that Lachlan will be missed.
He commented: “So sad to hear about the passing of my MAFS mate Lachy. He was a great, genuine guy, easy-going and always there for a laugh. You’ll be missed, mate.”
Dr Trisha Stratford

MAFS expert Dr Trisha Stratford sadly passed away in 2023 aged 72 after appearing as an expert on the show from 2015 to 2020.
Her family revealed she “died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones” with Channel 9 releasing a statement: ““We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dr Trisha Stratford.
“Our sincerest condolences and heartfelt sympathies go out to her family and those closest during this difficult time.”
Andrew Jury

MAFS New Zealand star Andrew Jury passed away aged 33 last year whilst at the Mt Eden Corrections Facility in Auckland.
He appeared on the 2017 series of the show with his father sharing “concerns for his son’s mental state” before his court hearing, which was set to take place on Thursday, June 27 2024.
His father stated: “It should have been a red flag when Andy stopped communicating with family and friends. I and Andy’s extended family and friends are deeply saddened and bewildered by this distressing event.”
