This Real Housewives star’s husband is set to undergo brain surgery, so what happened to him?
He first got 'very sick' eight years ago
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13 welcomed two newbies into the mix who well and truly took the drama to new heights.
As if RHONJ’s cast wasn’t literally filled with women who love gossip, clapbacks, and calling people out more than life itself, Rachel Fuda and Danielle Cabral came along to amp things up even further.
Now, the show is on a hiatus. And, while people anticipate its return, folks are still wanting to stay up to date with everything that’s going on, including with the Real Housewives’ husbands. So, let’s get into what happened to Danielle’s husband, Nate Cabral, and why he’s having to opt in for brain surgery.
Who is Danielle Cabral’s husband, Nate?
Danielle quickly made her mark as one of the show’s loudest, most outspoken personalities. But alongside her reality TV journey, we also got a closer look at her family life, especially her husband, Nate Cabral.
Nate isn’t just known for being Danielle’s husband. He’s an entrepreneur who runs a home security business and has been by Danielle’s side long before Bravo cameras started rolling.
On RHONJ, viewers got a glimpse of their strong bond and family dynamic, with the couple often showing off their lighthearted side. However, behind the fun and drama, Nate has recently had to face a much more serious, real-life challenge.
Why is Nate Cabral having brain surgery?

Recently, Danielle shared an Instagram post detailing that Nate would be undergoing brain surgery, which left many RHONJ fans shocked and concerned.
Not only is he opting for serious surgery. But, it’s actually for the second time. Danielle explained in their joint post:
“Here we go again. Brain surgery number two. In 2017, days before Vee was born, Nate had emergency brain surgery to remove a colloid cyst from his third ventricle. He was very sick. His symptoms recently started coming back, and after taking a scan a few weeks ago, we learned his cyst has grown.
A colloid cyst from his third ventricle is reportedly usually a non-cancerous tumour that’s present from birth, which forms a fluid-filled sac in the brain.
Danielle’s post continued: “In one week, he will be heading back into NYU for his second brain surgery. This time around (thankfully), he will be able to walk into the hospital positive and ahead of the game. And of course, a big slice of the infamous brain cake will be waiting for him.”
People have flooded social media with messages of support for Nate, as well as Danielle, who has always been open about the ups and downs of her personal life on the show. Many of their fellow co-stars also left words of support on the post. Dolores Catania wrote: “Your in good hands and we will be praying for u guys please let us know if we can help in any way.”
And Rachel Fuda penned: “Nate you got this!!!!!!!! Praying for you guys!”
Jennifer Fessler, Melissa Gorga, Jersey Shore’s Mike Sorrentino, Margaret Josephs, and Guerdy Abraira were also just some of the Bravo celebrities to leave words of positivity on Nate and Danielle’s post.
