Real Housewives of London’s Panthea confesses she was on another TV show back in 2007!
It was really wholesome
Panthea Parker may have claimed The Real Housewives of London is her first job ever, but she has a confession to make about a BBC show back in 2007. She actually starred on a cooking show as a guest of her chef friend, Anjum Anand, as “work experience”.
She wrote in a new LinkedIn post: “Some people ease into a new career with a training course. Not me! As I have said before, my first ever job is as a cast member of The Real Housewives of London. Well, I must confess, “Real Housewives” is not my first TV gig.”
“I had some “work experience” when I appeared in Episode 1 of Indian Food Made Easy as the “non-cooking” friend of brilliant cook Anjum Anand. Amazingly to this day it pops up on TV every few months on BBC Food, and tv channels across the world,” she added.
Panthea continued: “I always wondered after that if I should have had more of a go at TV, but life was just too busy. Fast‑forward to 50, and my new job is in full swing. It is the first time I was called “jobless” on TV (thanks Anjum!).”
Panthea, who is married to top London lawyer Ed Parker, exclusively told us that this is her first foray into “any job” because she’s “never had a job except being a mother: and said: “It’s the biggest job. I pride myself on being good mother and a good wife.”
“I’m running my home and making amazing memories and not being stressed, but this has definitely been an eye-opener. But I mean, I’m very privileged and something clicked halfway through the show that, ‘Oh my god, this is big,’” she told us.
The Real Housewives of London is streaming weekly, exclusively on Hayu.
