Kim Kardashian savagely shades Kanye over barely-there magazine cover, and it’s brutal
She did not hold back
When it comes to iconic magazine covers, Kim Kardashian has ticked another major one off her list, and she’s doing it entirely on her own terms.
The reality TV star turned global entrepreneur has just landed a coveted spot on the cover of French Vogue, and while the shoot itself is headline-worthy, it’s her comments inside the glossy pages that really got people talking.
In what seemed like a subtle but undeniably pointed remark, Kim used the milestone to reflect on her independence, confidence, and life after Kanye West.
Kim graces the cover of French Vogue
For the October issue, Kim, stripped things back, quite literally, posing topless for a striking editorial that celebrates her body, her confidence, and her new chapter in life.
The photos showcase a more liberated side of Kim, one that feels distinctly separate from the years she spent under the spotlight of her marriage to Kanye.
In the French Vogue interview, Kim revealed that turning 40 was a pivotal moment for her. According to her, her iconic momager, Kris Jenner, told her those years would be some of the best of her life, and she admits that prediction has come true.
Kim explained that it’s only been in the last three to four years that she’s truly come into her own, adding that her forties have brought a new sense of freedom, both personally and professionally, per Daily Mail.
The cover is a pretty big deal. French Vogue is one of the most prestigious fashion magazines in the world, and for Kim, it represents a career highlight. Not only that. Judging by her words, she’s not only celebrating the milestone but also drawing a line under her past, too.
She savagely takes a swipe at Kanye
Kim finalised her divorce from Kanye three years ago, and while she’s usually cautious with her words, this time she appeared to let a little shade slip through.
Speaking about her newfound self-assurance, she told Vogue: “When I turned forty, my mother told me the coming years would be the best of my life. And it’s true, only over the past three or four years have I gained this confidence.”
Kim continued: “Before, I constantly needed to check with someone before making a decision. Can you imagine? It’s crazy to rely so much on others’ opinions. Today, I know exactly what I want. It’s exhilarating.”
She also went on to say how Demna, who used to be the Artistic Director of Balenciaga, has been a key player in her confidence evolution.
The math of Kim’s comment here doesn’t go unnoticed. Three or four years ago was precisely when her marriage to Kanye was breaking down, and she began the process of carving out a life of her own.
Without naming him directly, Kim made it clear that her personal growth, freedom, and confidence have flourished in the aftermath of their split.
It’s definitely not the first time Kim’s hinted at her divorce in public, but this one hits different. The way she lined up her “newfound confidence” with the exact years since her split feels way too pointed to ignore.
And let’s be real, making the comment while posing topless for French Vogue? That’s not just a casual remark, it seems like a full-on statement.
