Love Island Games star booted off show after alleged ‘micro-aggressions’ and ‘racist jokes’
She was sent home by the US public
Love Island Games star Solene Favrou, who was on Love Island France’s first season and starred as a stew on Below Deck, is being accused of making micro-aggressions and racist jokes in the past. People are claiming she was racist towards a co-star who wore wigs.
One person claimed: “She used to wear wigs, and towards the end of the show [Love Island France], she revealed her afro. Solene was making a lot of racist jokes/micro-aggressions and she would say things like, ‘Oh, your hair stayed plugged into the socket for too long.'”
They continued by alleging Solene would say someone’s hair “got electrocuted, which is why it looks like that.” People are alleging that Solene would make racist remarks towards Love Island France co-star, Cindy, during her season, by making the above comments.
After being casted for Love Island Games season two, people started to discuss her actions on Love Island France and resurfaced the speculation. She’s now been sent home by the American public as part of a new voting system introduced to the show.
People started to urge production to have Solene removed for her comments, especially because of the likes of some Love Island USA stars being removed for using slurs in the past, and because it was public knowledge that Solene used those comments on the series.
One viewer said: “Yeah I’m p*ssed she was ever cast on Below Deck finding out now she was also on Love Island. I can’t stand Love Island – it’s just not my thing. So, obvious Bravo production plant. They messed with Below Deck and need to go back to older seasons’ formula.”
Solene has had a fair few share of dramas on Below Deck, from feuding with Rainbeau de Roos to questioning Captain Kerry on his rules on the yacht. He claims Solene “has no self-awareness” after she was caught drinking with charter guests.
Reality Shrine has contacted Solene for comment, but has not yet responded at the time of writing.
