During The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season six episode one, Whitney emotionally details how a business she really wanted to work, totally “tanked.” Speaking to the group, she explained: “I had to fire 30 employees… I failed at something that I was really excited about that started as a massive success.”
Whitney’s entrepreneurial journey began with Iris + Beau, a skincare line she launched in 2017. In 2020, she rebranded it to Wild Rose Beauty, aiming for a fresh start.
But despite her best efforts, the brand couldn’t keep up, leading to its quiet shutdown. Not one to give up, Whitney co-founded Sōl People, a wellness-focused company, in 2024. However, that venture also faced challenges, with reports of poor sales and financial difficulties.
Speaking on the Bravo show, Whitney said she’s no stranger to “the ebbs and flows of business.” But with this business, it just failed entirely. She said: “We’re talking millions… thousands of customers.” Whitney went on to add how she felt she “failed all her employees, her customers, and her family…” adding: “And now we have nothing.”
Wait, Whitney’s bouncing back!?
Whitney exclaimed on RHOSLC that she was super emotional about letting a ton of people down with her business failure. She also said there are “TikTokkers who want to get famous off her failure.” But, in a new Instagram post, it looks like the Salt Lake queen is bouncing back better than ever. Her friends are congratulating her in the comments as she explains: “Wild Rose Beauty is back!”
Whitney wrote: “…For those who have seen the Season 6 premiere of #RHOSLC you learned that I recently have been through a lot with a business venture failing. The venture was tied to my skincare brand @thewildrosebeauty As hard as it is to admit failure on such a public level it was liberating to speak my truth…”
Per Whitney’s slider post, she’s now relaunching and has “reclaimed full ownership” of the brand.
“Wild Rose Beauty proudly announces that Whitney Rose, the original founder, visionary, and face of the brand, has officially reclaimed full ownership. As of today, Wild Rose Beauty is no longer affiliated with any former partners or outside ownership groups, ushering in a new era of independence, authenticity, and innovation.”
Whitney said: “This relaunch is deeply personal to me, it’s about reconnecting with what I originally set out to create: a beauty brand that empowers, uplifts, and celebrates authenticity. Wild Rose Beauty has always been about more than skincare, it’s about creating routines that help people feel beautiful inside and out.”
