The Bachelor star angrily speaks out in support of Charlie Kirk following his death
'At least Charlie didn't attack people'
Sierra from The Bachelor is speaking out in support of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, who was recently shot during a speech. She’s now receiving loads of online hate for backing him, and feels angry about how people are speaking about him following his death.
His death has launched a huge conversation about his controversial views, as well as gun violence. Sierra made an online video slamming people for bashing him, and is claiming they “have no self control” while Kirk had “tough conversations” with people.
She’s written a statement sticking up for Kirk and his family, and said: “At least Charlie didn’t attack people. He was willing others out despite the differences. Crazy how someone that’s in your own community, you come after so quickly. Lead by your flesh.”
Sierra shares the Christian values that Kirk spoke about in his speeches. She said, “You cannot claim Christ and then hate someone. You can hate something they said or did and still love them. But to try to justify your hate because of something they said is not Christ-like.”
Many back what she’s saying, with one writing, “People are missing the point. This isn’t about one person—it’s about the evil in mocking death. Thanks for your words ❤️,” while a disagreeing commenter said, “Jesus never would have stood for the demeaning of immigrants.”
Some are calling her support “selective empathy” while Sierra claims that they should “stop being the very thing you point fingers at another for being,” encouraging anyone who doesn’t agree with what she’s saying to simply unfollow her.
Sierra follows Kirk’s profile on Instagram but he did not follow her back. And in response to people criticising her, Sierra wrote: “Like I said, lack or forgiveness will be judged. No one is perfect. But guess what? Abe Lincoln freed slaves and was racist… We don’t hate him.”
