Here’s why Raven from Love Is Blind is getting majorly cancelled on TikTok
She's been forced to make an apology video
Raven from Love Is Blind is getting seriously dragged after claiming that the sport of pilates, which she heavily spoke about on the show, is “not diverse”. She’s now been forced to apologise as a result, and claims she “lost the plot in the message”.
She started off by saying it was going to be an “extremely hot take on Pilates” and how she’d noticed people talking about how the sport has a “proximity to whiteness”. Raven said her business is about “providing an accessible space to a diverse demographic of women”.

As a result of her words, Raven is now getting cancelled on TikTok after saying: “You would never walk into Bottega and be like, ‘Where is the diversity?’ Babe, there’s no accessibility. This is Bottega. I want you to think the same way about Pilates.”
“People worked generations to preserve this method of exercise. Just training an instructor takes 500 hours minimum. Nothing about pilates is giving cheap. And just to be clear, I am all for the accessibility of Pilates but I want the newbies to think critically,” she said.

People are not happy at all, with one person writing, “I’m a BW, idgaf about pilates, but the fact that a BLACK PILATES INSTRUCTOR believes (or desires) her clientele to be (rich) white folk, to the exclusion of people like her, is bewildering and frankly, angering.”
Another responded with: “Why does she equate POC with being poor? Some of the most successful people I know are POC. Raven noooo.” She has apologised and thanked people for holding her accountable, saying “being a black instructor in this space is what motivates her”.
Raven maintains that her purpose is to get the sport out there “with as little barriers as possible” and said: “I missed the mark. This is definitely not a ‘woe is me’ video, I have always been open to feedback. I want to serve my community better.”
