The producer of Single’s Inferno has vowed to fix the show’s biggest mistake next season
This could change everything
Season five of Single’s Inferno is coming out at the start of next year, and the creator have vowed to fix one of the biggest criticisms of the show.
One of the biggest issues with the show was that as the finale came closer, viewers felt as though some cast members were getting way more screentime than others.
However, in a new interview the producer of Single’s Inferno has promised that they want to diversify the cast and introduce more different types of personalities to the show.

During the Netflix Entertainment Festival 2025 in Seoul earlier in September, the producer of the show, Kim Jae-won admitted that one of the challenges during season four was a mistake.
The challenge in question was where one male cast member was chosen out of three, with the other two ultimately being completely eliminated from the show.
Kim Jae-won commented on the criticism, saying: “Viewers strongly criticised it, asking, ‘Why eliminate them? Can’t they all just participate together?’ So for this season, we decided to go bigger – there are more contestants than ever before.
“With more contestants, naturally the characters became more diverse. More importantly, the love lines [romantic pairings] are no longer concentrated on just a few people, but spread out in a much wider variety.”

Viewers also felt like some couples got significantly more screentime than others, with the producer of Single’s Inferno promising they’re making changes ahead of season five.
He explained: “I think I got criticised last year for hyping things up too much, but this season really feels like it will be a battle of the ‘femme fatales.’ There are more female contestants than ever with stylish, fascinating personalities.”
And it seems like the shoe could be going for a long while in the future as he added: “Our original goal was to reach Season 10, but while editing this season, it feels like we could even go to Season 20.”
