Travis Kelce admitted he hugely regretted his reality TV dating show, here’s why
He met his ex girlfriend through the show
Travis Kelce might have risen to household name fame by dating Taylor Swift, but even back in 2016 he was deemed famous enough to have his own reality TV dating show.
His show was called, Catching Kelce, and the then 25 year old Travis announced he was ready to settle down and find his future wife.
The series consisted of seven episodes featuring a whopping 50 women who were all eager to become the future Mrs Travis Kelce, one from each USA state.
The outcome of the whole show was that Maya Benberry from Kentucky won Travis’ heart, and described him as her “perfect guy.”

However, some of the other members of the show were more hesitant about Travis picking Maya, after his manager warned him that she seemed to similar to his previous ex.
The pair ended up dating for around eight months after Catching Kelce finished before calling it quits.
However, Travis Kelce has since admitted that he regrets during the show, explaining it was a “learning experience” that he’d “never” return to reality TV.
He shared on The Pivot podcast: “It was extremely awkward” and admitted he turned it down what felt like “100 times” and was only swayed by the amount of money they offered him.

He revealed: “I was so bad financially my first couple year. I literally went through my first couple checks like it was nothing. My season checks, all that.
“I was having so much fun, buying whatever the hell I wanted to do, going wherever the hell I wanted to.
“So I heard about the situation where I can make six figures in two weeks? I was like, ‘this is actually starting to sound a little better.’”
However he also confessed that he didn’t like how he was portrayed on the show, saying: “At the end of the day, I don’t think I got portrayed as myself. There were a lot of things that just made me uncomfortable.”
