Meghan Markle ‘convinced’ Taylor Swift ‘hijacked’ her Netflix announcement with album reveal

Picture this. You’re Meghan Markle all excited to for the trailer of the second season of Netflix’s, With Love, Meghan, to release when all of a sudden Taylor Swift announces her new album on the exact same day.
Well, this is exactly what happened, and according to sources, Meghan doesn’t think the timing of Taylor’s appearance on the New Heights podcast to announce the album was a coincidence.
So, let’s have a delve into exactly what happened and what’s been claimed that Meghan thinks about the whole situation.
Taylor Swift appeared on Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast, New Heights, last week to reveal her new album, which coincidentally was the same day as Meghan Markle released a new trailer for the second season of With Love, Meghan.
Taylor’s announcement video received over 20 million views in mere hours, with Meghan’s trailer receiving just under 500k views.
However, according to the source, Meghan Markle is “convinced” that Taylor Swift deliberately sabotaged her announcement by posting her own reveal on the same day.
In a report by Rob Shuter, a source claimed: “Meghan thought her trailer would own the news cycle.
“Then Taylor’s announcement came in like a wrecking ball. Meghan’s convinced it wasn’t just bad luck. She saw this as her comeback moment, then Taylor took all the oxygen out of the room.”
And it seems like that’s not the only overlap that Meghan’s concerned about as reportedly her Netflix holiday special may release at the same time as Kate Middleton’s, Together at Christmas concert.
The source added: “She’s trying to spin it as unfortunate timing. But Meghan likes being the headline. This week, she wasn’t.”
Now, bear in mind that aside from the source there is zero evidence that Taylor Swift deliberately planned to railroad Meghan Markle, and to be honest I really doubt that it was even remotely on her radar.
But who knows, perhaps we’ll have a Meghan Markle diss track featured on Life of a Showgirl? Or maybe the two will squash their beef and Taylor could make an unexpected appearance on season two of With Love, Meghan. It’s anyone’s guess at this point.
