Fit For TV has quickly risen in popularity on Netflix, but what exactly is every The Biggest Loser winner up to now since filming finished?
From finding love with co-stars to swanky new jobs, let’s see what everyone has been up to.
Season 1 – Ryan Benson
Ryan weighed 330lbs on The Biggest Loser, and lost 37 per cent of his body weight and won the first season of the competition.
However, shortly after winning the show he quickly gained a large majority of the weight back, after admitting he took extreme measures in order to win.
He told People in August 2024: “For the last 24 hours, I didn’t put anything in my body and just went to the gym and had a rubber suit on to sweat and then went to the sauna. It’s no secret that I gained back all the weight.”
However, he’s since come a long way, and is now the Senior Vice President of Global Content Delivery at Lionsgate.
Season 2 – Matt Hoover
Matt started at 339lbs and lost 49 per cent of his body weight in order to win the show.
However, alongside winning the prize he also left with runner up, Suzy Preston, after the two fell for each other on the show and ended up getting married.
The pair celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary in September 2024.
Season 3 – Erik Chopin
Erik started at 407lbs and lost 52 per cent of his weight, meaning this winner lost the most amount, but what is he up to now?
Well, he admitted to the New York Post that he’d gained 150lbs back three years after the show.
He revealed: “People wonder if the show keeps tabs on you when it’s over. No, not really. But I’m the one who became self-destructive.”
Season 4 – Bill Germanakos
Bill lost 49 per cent of his weight after starting at 334lbs, and The Biggest Loser winner seems to still be in a healthy place now.
He shared in January 2020: “The weigh-in has occurred and the official results are in! The challenge was to ‘reverse the curse’ of the usual seven lb weight gain during the holidays.
“Well, I lost nine pounds in December, so mission accomplished! Time to set new attainable goals for 2020!”
Season 5 – Ali Vincent
Ali was the first female winner of The Biggest Loser, and now she’s up to a lot, having started her own series and written a book about her experience on the competition.
She’s been transparent about here issues with keeping the weight off, explaining: “On April 16th I did one of the hardest things in my life I joined Weight Watchers and weighed in close to the weight I started at on The Biggest Loser.”
Season 6 – Michelle Aguilar Whitehead
Michelle started at 242 lbs and ended up winning the competition after losing 45 per cent of her body weight.
She’s managed to keep consistent with her new lifestyle, recently writing in 2023: “Cannot believe 15 years ago tonight I stood on the sound stage in LA and the confetti fell and I had won season six of @biggestloser.
“Time flies and for me it’s been the best and wildest ride. I never would have imagined all the ways The Biggest Loser would change my life. Thankful, grateful & blessed!”
She continued: “I’ll never be able to thank [Michaels] enough for the way she impacted my life. She was present and patient with a broken girl and helped me stand on my own two feet!”
Season 7 – Helen Phillips
Helen lost 54 per cent of her total weight to become the winner of season seven of The Biggest Loser but what’s she up to now?
Well, she’s lived a very quiet life since winning the $250k cash prize and hopefully is enjoying it!
Season 8 – Danny Cahill
Danny lost a whopping 55 per cent of his body weight and just one year after winning his season he appeared in a holiday film called A Christmas Snow.
In 2012, he and his wife Darci co-wrote a book about his weight loss, however just four years later he told ABC News that he’d re-gained 100lbs since the show.
He admitted: “I did feel like a million bucks for a couple years. I kept the weight off completely. I wondered why others were gaining it back.
“I was working out two hours a day and riding my bike all over town to go where I was going. Once that stopped, the weight started creeping back on.”
He continued: “When you gain weight back, even when you’re in school, it’s shameful. When you’re in front of America, then it’s 10 times as shameful.”
Season 9 – Michael Ventrella
Michael also lost half his body weight, however the season nine The Biggest Loser winner revealed one year after the show finished that he was struggling financially, so where is he now?
He told Chicago Magazine at the time: “I have no money coming in and a lot of money going out. That scares me to death.” Michael currently works in real estate, according to his Facebook page.
Season 10 – Patrick House
Season 10 winner Patrick has fond memories of his time on The Biggest Loser, telling People in 2016: “Food addiction was a full-blown problem for me, and I was gaining weight every year.
“Had it not been for Biggest Loser, I could be 500 lbs. I could be dead, I could have had a heart attack.”
According to his Twitter, he now “travel[s] the country doing motivational speaking engagements and appearances.”
Season 11 – Olivia Ward
Olivia and her sister competed in The Biggest Loser in 2011, but Olivia ultimately became the winner, but what is she up to now?
She also seems to have positive memories of the show, telling People in 2023: “Losing the weight was wonderful, but just to have that experience and to be around that type of expertise and that kind of support.
“What I left with was knowing that I had this incredible opportunity to pass on what had been given to me.”
She’s since gotten married and now works as SoulCycle, alongside setting up her own app to help people lose and manage their weight.
Season 12 – John Rhode
After shedding 49 per cent of his weight during season 12 of the competition, John started running marathons and regularly doing CrossFit, however he seems to be living a more private life these days.
Season 13- Jeremy Britt
Jeremy lost a total of 51 per cent of his body fat, and seems to be dedicated to keeping the weight off.
Soon after he won, he posted on Facebook: “How is everyone’s weight loss journey going? I am currently working on maintaining my weight and trying to work on my Gun Show.”
Season 14 – Danni Allen
Danni started at 258lbs on the show, and ended on 137lbs and after winning she became the marketing director of the Planet Fitness in Chicago.
She got married in 2022 and welcomed her first baby at the start of this year.
Season 15 – Rachel Frederickson
Rachel lost 59 per cent of her body weight, but admitted she struggled with hurtful comments from others whilst on the show.
She wrote: “When I stood on stage at the live finale, I had never felt stronger. I had accomplished everything I wanted to do. I was extremely proud of myself.
“That moment didn’t last long. Comments during the controversial storm following my weight loss were hurtful.”
She’s currently a customer insights and analytics manager for Land O’Lakes and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Materials and Supply Chain Management from the University of Minnesota in 2020.
Season 16 – Toma Dobrosavljevic
Toma lost 49 per cent of his weight during season 16, and he also found love with co-star, Chelsea Arthurs.
As for what the season 19 The Biggest Loser winner is up to now?
Well, they’ve since tied the know, with the two recalling how they first met with Chelsea explaining: “I remember him walking out [on TV] and I was like, ‘Oh yeah! He is so cute,’ and I even tweeted about it!
“We were in some Biggest Loser alumni groups online and we started talking. He flew down [to see me] and we’ve been together ever since then!”
Season 17 – Roberto Hernandez
Roberto lost 160lbs after starting at 348lbs on the show, but admitted in 2020 that he’s struggled with maintaining his finale weight.
He wrote: “Life is a struggle. But it’s all about grabbing the bull from the horns and keep going!!!”
Season 18 – Jim DiBattista
Following the shows four year hiatus, Jim won the reboot season with a 37 per cent weight loss and currently works the head coach of Cardinal O’Hara High School boys’ lacrosse team.
In March 2022, he shared some progress photos, writing: “I am happy, living my life and in way better shape than I ever was in my entire life.”
