It turns out Yolanda from Love Is Blind UK is actually related to a Love Island winner?!
Hopefully she'll have just as much luck in the pods as her cousin did in the villa
There’s nothing better than finding out what rogue connections Love Is Blind UK cast members have to other famous faces, and for Yolanda is a very direct relation.
As it turns out, Yolanda’s cousin is no other than Love Island 2024 winner, Mimii Tafara, who became the first ever black couple to win the show with Josh Oyinsan.
And Yolanda has already graced the screen before her appearance on Love Is Blind UK, as she appeared on Aftersun with Maya Jama to chat about Mimii whilst she was in the villa.
She also starred in a Christmas gift swap with Mimii following Love Island on the official Boots channel, so Yolanda is no stranger to the cameras.
Hopefully Yolanda will have more long-lasting success in the Love Is Blind UK pods after Mimii and Josh broke up shortly after leaving the villa.
Mimii said at the time in an Instagram statement: “Josh and I have been trying to figure it out since leaving the villa but unfortunately things aren’t going to work out between us right now.
“A lot of you have been wondering about Josh and I and why we haven’t been making appearances. I know it’s a big disappointment for a lot of you as it is for me too.
“Your support for us hasn’t gone unnoticed and I will forever be grateful for it. You’re the reason we made it to this point.”
Yolanda is the youngest cast member to appear in Love Is Blind UK, and spoke out about her choice to apply to the show, saying: “As the youngest in the experiment, I stepped into the pods with an open heart and no clue what was coming. I have a big personality, I need someone spontaneous and adventurous.”
