Erm, Emma Willis just admitted she uses a fake accent whilst presenting Love Is Blind UK?!
What on earth is going on here
Emma and Matt Willis are genuinely the most perfect hosts for Love Is Blind UK, however it turns out all is not quite what it seems when they’re presenting the show.
Because, as it turns out, Emma Willis actually purposefully changes her accent for when she’s presenting the show.

During an appearance with Matt on Jaime Laing and Sophie Habboo’s podcast, Nearly Parents, Emma explained why she decides to tone down her natural Birmingham hometown accent.
Jaime and Sophie had been discussing how his accent has changed over the years, with Emma adding: “I think when you can hear yourself, you take your pitch down a bit, not [just] you, generally, I do that.
“I start going, ‘I must not be quite so Birmingham’. I bring it [down] a little bit lower, yeah.”

Matt then joked that when she’s not modifying her accent, Emma sounds more like Beaker from the muppets, adding: “She’s a bit Beaker sometimes.”
As for what she think her current accent is, Emma joked that she no longer knows what it sounds like because she’s been trying to change it whilst presenting for so long.
She explained: “I don’t know, I’ve tried to bash it out myself. No I haven’t. It’s a bit like, ‘You alright, how you doing, you okay?’ Sing song in Birmingham.”
