It was a fever dream, so what happened to Addison Rae and Kourtney Kardashian’s friendship?

The friendship between Addison Rae and Kourtney Kardashian truly does feel like something that never should have happened, but here we are.

The pair became fast friends at the start of 2020, but cut to now and it’s like the two have never met. So, what exactly happened to their friendship? Well, to answer that question we have to go back to the very start when they met.

Kourtney Kardashian and Addison Rae were quite cursedly introduced to each other by David Dobrik of all people, with Addison recalling how they met on the Tom Ward Show.

She explained: “I met Kourtney through a friend, through David. We surprised Mason because Mason liked my videos on TikTok.

“I kind of just stuck around and we got really close. We started working out together. We did a video on her YouTube of us doing a butt workout and stuff, so that was fun.”

However, their friendship was quickly called into question due to their hefty age gap which Kourtney directly responded to, saying: “Do you suggest a better place? I’m looking for ideas…” after she received criticism for their poolside bikini posts.

Kourtney and Addison continued to spend time together during the Covid lockdown, hosting games nights, posting joint content and even wearing matching outfits.

Addison Rae even made an appearance on KUWTK, where Kourtney Kardashian was questioned about her friendship with the TikToker by her sisters.

Kourtney asked them: “So, you guys didn’t want to tell me that you invited Addison for lunch? Like, she thought I was literally coming to the lunch. What is your obsession?”

Kim admitted that the pair wondered whether the two were “hooking up”, with Khloe adding: “We’re not dissing Addison. We love Addison. We literally just want to know, does Addison do something where she pulls out like, a better attitude in you?”

Addison starred in He’s All That, with Kourtney also having a cameo in the film, making people wonder whether their friendship was purely promotional.

However, as 2022 started to roll around, people started noticing that they were no longer posting together, and in the ultimate snub Addison wasn’t invited to Kourtney’s wedding.

The pair never explicitly said why they stopped being such close friends, Addison Rae has recently talked about how much she appreciated her friendship with Kourtney Kardashian.

In a 2025 Rolling Stone interview, she admitted: “She got married and has a baby now, I’ve lived a few lives.”
