He's been involuntarily detained for 72 hours
Gregory Zecca, the stepson of Dog the Bounty Hunter, has been “placed on psychiatric hold” after fatally shooting his own son in tragic “freak accident.”
A representative told TMZ that he’s utterly devastated by the loss of his child, and has been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold, according to the representative, which means he’s being involuntarily detained for 72 hours due to having a mental health disorder, being a danger to himself, being a danger to others or being gravely disabled.
The representative claimed that the holding over Gregory Zecca is as a result of the grief he feels, and not because he feels guilty of a crime in relation to the shooting.
Gregory Zecca, who is the stepson of Dog the Bounty Hunter, accidentally fatally shot his own son at their apartment in Florida, with the Collier County Sherriff’s Office conducting a “death investigation” for the “isolated incident.”

“The investigation includes statements from witnesses who were at the scene, forensic testing, subpoenas, and search warrants.”
Gregory Zecca has so far remained silent on the tragic incident, however his mother and stepdad have spoken out, telling TMZ: “We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragic accident, and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony.”
