Amaya’s brutal take on Cierra being removed from Love Island USA after using racial slur
'We didn't get to say goodbye'
Amaya Papaya has given her brutal take on Cierra Ortega being removed from the Love Island USA villa after using a racial slur. She explained what really went down when her fellow Islander was told to exit the show, and says they didn’t get to say goodbye.
Amaya gives her take on Cierra being removed from Love Island USA
Amaya has given her own brutal opinion on Cierra being removed from Love Island USA. She recently told the Call Her Daddy podcast: “I definitely do think words matter and everyone should be respected. I just hope that she learns from her consequences.”
“You know, she is a grown woman, so hopefully moving on forward, it’s just like, this should not be repeated,” Amaya added. Other Islanders, such as Belle-A, publicly stated they’d no longer continue a friendship with Cierra after finding out what she’d said.
The Islanders ‘didn’t even get to say goodbye’
Amaya explained how the Islanders had all “started the morning together” on the day Cierra left, and then, “out of nowhere, she did disappear, and we all were just asking, ‘Where was Cierra?’ I remember asking, I was like, ‘Do you guys know where Cierra went?'”
She added: “And then same thing with Nic. I was like, ‘Nic, where’s Cierra?’ We all genuinely did not know. So we did not get the chance to say goodbye. We weren’t able to see her pack her bags. It literally just happened in the flash of an eye. It felt very unreal in a way.”
“Like what is going on? We were all in the villa. We literally were all just hanging out. And she was gone. Oh, that’s really gone,” Amaya continued, while Cierra has since apologised for the use of a racial slur, and had already said sorry back in January 2024.
