Where on earth is the Love Island USA hideaway this season?! There’s one HUGE reason why
Only Cierra and Nic used it at the beginning
So the Love Island USA hideaway is literally just getting forgotten about this season, and we’ve all noticed it. Cierra and Nic were the only former couple to go in there, but there’s a big reason why hardly anyone has used it throughout season seven.
Where is the Love Island USA hideaway this season?
The Love Island USA hideaway was opened in the third episode, when Cierra and Nic entered. Since then, it’s been eerily silent and has remained shut, as producers usually send a text to invite a specific couple to have a night away on a 1-on-1 basis.
During season six, the hideaway didn’t open until after Casa Amor. ITV Entertainment executive producer Simon Thomas revealed in a 2024 interview the real reason the Islanders didn’t visit the Hideaway for most of last season.
“We do indeed have a Hideaway in the main villa this season; there just hasn’t been the right opportunity to use it,” Thomas told People. “We usually save the Hideaway for when couples are really clicking, but it’s been such a rollercoaster for the Islanders so far.”
He added, “There’s been a lot of couple-swapping and all the drama that comes with that, the timing has never felt right. Rest assured, we’ll be sending some islanders there soon. We have a phenomenal production designer, Richard Jensen, he didn’t build it for nothing!”
One reason is the lack of strong couples
so are they just using the hideaway for storage this season?? #LoveIsland #LoveIslandUSA7

This season has basically stripped away any form of a strong couple, because Nic and Cierra were the only couple to initially go into the hideaway, and then went on a date. She’s since been removed from the villa after she was discovered to have used racial slurs.
Justine from season two has said they always used the hideaway but for some reason, never showed it. To be fair, considering the amount of steamy scenes the couples have been having in bed with other people in the room, it’s probably far too inappropriate for 9pm television.
The Love Island USA hideaway can only be used by people coupled up, but in the UK, the hideaway can only be entered with someone outside of your couple. Currently, the only strong couples are believed to be Ace and Chelley, Taylor and Clarke, and Huda and Chris.
