We’re halfway though the year, so here are the biggest Love Is Blind bombshells so far
There have been more divorce announcements than I can keep up with!
We’re six months into the year, but there’s been more Love Is Blind drama than I can keep up with. From endless divorces to new relationships, there have been some major bombshells dropped in the first half of 2025.
So, let’s get into all the juicy details and have a look at all the biggest Love Is Blind bombshells you need to know.
The creator of the show defended season eight having a predominantly white cast

They told Entertainment Weekly: “Well, the show casts itself. We put people in the pods, and you try to have a very diverse group of people in lots of different ways [at the start]. And then the people who get engaged are the people who get engaged.
“The people who fall in love are the people who fall in love. If you’re sort of trying to tick a box, there were lots of people who were in the group coming into the pods who ultimately just didn’t find their person and who we didn’t choose to [follow].”
The creator continued: “We always, always, always strive to seed the pods for the greatest possible success, and within that, diversity of not only ethnicity or race, but backgrounds, and financial status, and body types and looks and all that stuff.
You’re less concerned about that, to be honest, than just trying to have a group of people that you hope are somewhat compatible and then seeing what happens. And like I said, then they cast the show for us.
“We don’t decide, ‘Oh, this is a good couple. That’s a good couple.’ We don’t steer it in any way. They figure it out on their own.”
AD and Ollie announced their engagement, and revealed they’re having a baby girl!

During the Love Is Blind season eight reunion, AD and Ollie, who met on Perfect Match, announced their engagement and more recently revealed they’re having a baby girl together!
During a podcast episode, AD and Ollie explained exactly how the proposal happened.
Ollie explained he’d “always envisioned” proposing to AD “at the beach” and decided to pretend that they were filming promotional material for Perfect Match when, actually, he was planning on proposing.
He admitted it was “hard work” to plan everything without AD suspecting anything, and AD explained that she did have some suspicions that something was going on.
She said: “I get this email saying we’re doing Perfect Match promo together, I’m no genius, but I’ve been in this industry long enough to know we shouldn’t be doing anything together before the show airs.”
Ollie added that he had to “pretend” he was also really surprised that they were doing promo together.
Rumours swirled that Joey and Sara had started dating each other following season eight

The news was first reported on the Reality Receipts podcast, as they reported: “We’ve heard from a few sources now that Joey is dating someone else from season eight and that person is Sara, so that’s shocking.
“Apparently they were spotted in a hair salon together, and then people very close to the situation have confirmed that they are dating. They were sitting together at the reunion, but they didn’t touch each other.
“Apparently, they’re just waiting for things to die to announce it. Some people have said ‘maybe they’re just friends’ whilst others have said ‘no, they’re for sure dating.”
Apparently Joey and Sara could have been dating for almost one year since the end of filming for Love Is Blind, as they continued: “Apparently they’ve been hanging out for a year and if I had to call it I’d say they were dating but they’re keeping it under wraps because Joey’s getting a lot of heat right now, Sara is also getting a lot of heat right now for even continuing to entertain Ben.
“And I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to come out and say ‘no we’re just friends’ then six months from now, saying it evolved into a relationship.”
The whole thing then got very messy as Monica confirmed the pair were dating, before both Sara and Joey claimed they were nothing more than friends, but eventually confirmed they’re together.
Mark Cuevas and Aubrey Rainey announced their divorce after three years of marriage

Love Is Blind season one stars Mark Cuevas and his wife, Aubrey Rainey, announced their divorce after three years of marriage.
They met during the first ever season of Love Is Blind, and got married in September 2022 after welcoming two sons in April 2021 and March 2022.
The announcement was made by Mark on his Instagram, in a statement that seemingly blindsided his wife.
He wrote: “After a lot of thought and conversations, Aubrey and I decided to part ways a few weeks ago.
“This wasn’t an easy decision, but we both believe it’s the best path forward for our individual growth and for our family.”
He continued: “Our top priority will always be our boys. We’re committed to coparenting with love, respect and teamwork so that they feel supported and secure every step of the way.”
He added: As we begin this new chapter, we kindly ask for your understanding and privacy, especially for the sake of our children. We truly appreciate your support and respect during this time.”
And while the statement was finished with both of their names, it seems it took Aubrey by surprise, as she commented under the post that the whole thing was “news to me.”
Aubrey Rainey later wrote that her “world is falling apart” following the shocking news of her split from Love Is Blind husband, Mark Cuevas.
Nick Thompson gave an update on where he stands with ex-wife Danielle Ruhl

Nick revealed that he “doesn’t speak actively” with Danielle, but it doesn’t mean they’re angry exes.
He exclusively told Reality Shrine, “We’re on good enough terms where there’s no issues that we have that are pending or unresolved at this point.”
If you remember their journey on Love Is Blind season two, they were head over heels with each other, but ended up getting divorced after the show.
He said: “I was damaged in the process from a mental health perspective, and the loss of a public marriage, which ended in divorce.”
Nick and Danielle filed for divorce in 2022, in which Danielle wrote on Instagram that there was “no infidelity or other drama in their marriage.” They’ve been friends since, with the two even talking in shared interviews about their former marriage.
Ashley emotionally broke her silence on her divorce from Tyler

Ashley opened up about her divorce from Tyler after the pair tied the knot on Love Is Blind for the the first time since their split.
She appeared on AD’s What’s the Reality? podcast, where she spoke out about her experiences in the relationship following the show.
She explained: “I’ve been healing, I’m getting to the stage where I’m reaching the six month of the divorce, and trying to take back the power of it.
“Anyone who knows me knows this is not something I ever wanted to do ever. And so, I’m changing it from a negative connotation to feeling more liberated and excited.”
Ashley admitted that when she looked at Tyler she felt like she could no longer recognise him after Love Is Blind, explaining: “I was looking at this man like who are you? It was so dark, it was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in my actual life.”

She revealed the scandal and their divorce came as a complete shock to her, sharing : “As you know, anything that you say in the pods, and anything that you say while filming is law. It is vital that you stick to it.”
She confessed: “I even go back and forth on my head if he ever loved me. They don’t think the love is real from Love Is Blind, but it is! It was for me!”
AD asked Ashley whether she thought Tyler was ready for marriage on Love Is Blind, with Ashley responding: “Absolutely not, in no way shape or form should he have gone on the show.”
She explained how Tyler seemed completely different on the show, saying: “He presented himself as that man during filming to the point where everyone loved him. During filming he did all these things, he seemed so kind, which is why we took that leap of faith together.
“Even in our year of marriage we had a good time together, he didn’t present himself as this.”
After months of speculation, Colleen and Matt finally confirmed their split

The pair released a joint statement on Instagram, announcing: “We wanted to share something personal, and this is not easy to do, but after nearly four years together, we’ve decided to end our marriage and move forward on our own paths.
We’ve been separated for some time now and have been doing our best to work through everything privately and with care.
“This was an incredibly difficult decision, not one we made lightly. It came with a lot of thought and it’s been an emotional process for both of us.
“We met in the most unique and unexpected way, and we’ll always be grateful for the love and memories we shared. There’s not one thing we would change and we continue to have deep respect and care for one another.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported us. We kindly ask for compassion as we navigate this transition.”
Marshall admitted that he had suicidal thoughts following his time on the show

Marshall spoke with AD on her podcast, and sadly explained that he had suicidal feeling following his time on the show.
He told AD: “I was going to take my own life. It just got to a point where… I had always been morbidly curious… but never thought about how to do it. One day, I’m just down in the dumps, just crazy depressed.
He said it felt like “nothing was going right” in his life, detailing having “dark inner voices” that “got a little bit louder.”
Marshall explained how he went through the experience of “having no favourite movie, meal, or song…” at the time.
He then recalled a moment when he spoke to his mother and said he felt “OK” with it being the last time he’d talk to her.
“I talk to my mom every day, multiple times a day, and I was OK with that being the last time… I was going to do what I felt I had to do, and I couldn’t…”
In that moment, he said he had to “remove himself” from his environment in Seattle.
Marshall went on to explain how a turning point came for him. He said it was “peak rainy season” and he “walked around the Space Needle” back to his apartment, and he thought to himself: “I wanna live.”
AD said: “I’m happy you took that walk.”
And Marshall replied: “Thank you, I’m glad I’m here.”
Lydia filed for divorce from Milton after three ‘tumultuous’ years of marriage

Lydia has revealed that she filed for divorce from Milton on the What’s The Reality podcast.
She’s said that it’s “okay to leave when things are not right” after months of rumours that they had split, as she was no longer wearing her wedding ring in recent solo pics.
She revealed on a June 11 episode, “I’ve been quiet for too long but now I’m ready, but I wasn’t ready for people’s opinions. Now, I’ve decided to file for divorce against Milton. It wasn’t one thing, it was a layer of situations that just kept piling up.”
Milton has apparently refused to sign the divorce papers, according to Lydia, which led to her “needing to share her truth because while I’ve been suffering in silence, it has been too much to keep quiet.”
She said it was “beautiful and perfect” as Milton “loved her for who she was.” However, six months in, they had their first argument, and things have been tricky ever since.
Lydia claimed she is now “called too much” and that she felt like a “hypocrite” to not share their split with the world, revealing that Milton hasn’t spoken to her for months.
Lydia revealed that Milton is unaware of her appearing on the podcast, and is “worried about the public perception who idolised them.”
She said, “This isn’t to have a pity party, I still love him unfortunately. But that’s me, and I’m not going to apologise for loving this hard.”
