Forbes has confirmed it, so here’s why Kylie Jenner isn’t a billionaire anymore
Wouldn't want too many billionaires in one family
Five years ago, people really thought Kylie Jenner was a billionaire. She was hailed as the world’s youngest self-made billionaire at the age of 21 by Forbes. But then the whole thing was retracted, and in 2020, the outlet released a statement explaining why. Now, Kylie is still ranking on Forbes lists of Richest Self-Made Women Under 40 and America’s Richest Women Celebrities 2025. But, she’s not quite in the same league as her sister, Kim Kardashian, when it comes to finances.
Was Kylie Jenner ever a billionaire?

The Kardashians‘ Kylie Jenner is super rich, but she’s never been a billionaire, technically.
Kylie broke into the reality TV world at just 10 years old, and it seems like she was always destined for fame and fortune.
She has a whopping net worth thanks to her booming businesses, including Kylie Cosmetics, Sprinter, Khy and a fragrance line, Cosmic Kylie Jenner.
At 18 years old, Kylie launched her cosmetics brand, and it’s been thriving ever since.
Four years after Kylie’s lip kits first arrived on the scene, she made the cover of Forbes Magazine and was hailed as the world’s youngest self-made billionaire.
However, Forbes wrote: “Documents showed the business was much smaller than the family claimed for years, leading her to lose her billionaire title.”
Forbes confirms Kylie’s finances in 2025

After being hailed a billionaire in 2019, then having the status removed in 2020, an update has now arrived when it comes to Kylie’s finances.
The mom of two reportedly has a net worth of $670 million in 2025. She still owns an estimated 44 per cent of Kylie Cosmetics.
Forbes wrote: “She sold 51 per cent of Kylie Cosmetics to publicly traded Coty, Inc. in January 2020 for $600 million; she pocketed some $540 million, pretax.”
As Kylie’s updated net worth gets confirmed, her pal, Hailey Bieber, also just made a big business deal with her cosmetics brand.
Although Hailey sold her brand, rhode, for $1 billion, she isn’t richer than Kylie, and she’s also not quite hitting billionaire status just yet. One billionaire in Kylie’s close circle is her older sister, Kim Kardashian, however.
According to Forbes’ new report, Kylie Cosmetics has experienced “successful global expansion into new markets including India and Singapore.”
Kylie’s net worth since the 2024 list has dropped by six per cent. But, she’s still worth a whole lot. And, she made the Richest Self-Made Women Under 40 list for the eighth year in a row this year.
She’s also the youngest on the list at 27 years old.
The report states: “Jenner is the only woman in her 20s to appear on this year’s ranking.”
