No, SKKN isn’t shutting down, but all these other Kardashian businesses did totally flop
One venture was pretty bizarre
If the Kardashians have a business idea, make no mistake – they’ll launch that thing. From a Kardashian credit card to that book Kendall and Kylie Jenner said they wrote, a whole lot of different products have hit the marketplace with the Kar-Jenner name attached to them. So, it kinda made sense for people to worry when a message appeared on SKKN’s website saying the site was “permanently closing.” But, it turns out there’s more to the story.
Kim Kardashian’s SKKN isn’t closing down
Phew. Take a big old breather because Kim Kardashian’s SKKN brand isn’t shutting down.
Yes, a message did pop up on the store’s website to say the site was closing down, but that’s all that’s happening.
The SKKN brand and items are now going to be within the SKIMS umbrella, along with Kim’s ingenious nipple bra and whatnot.
The billionaire took to her SKKN IG feed a while back to share that the move was underway.
The Kardashian Kard
Erm, so kicking off the list of failed attempts at business ideas is the Kardashian Kard.
Khloé, Kim, and Kourtney Kardashian launched the product around 2010, and it was a prepaid debit card, apparently aimed at teenagers.
It was all pretty bizarre and ended up being one of the family’s flops business-wise.
The Dash Boutiques
Well, they might not have been a total flop, as they must’ve served their purpose at the time.
But the ladies’ boutiques ended up closing down.
Nowadays, they’re just showing everyone how it’s done online.
KKW Fragrance turned into SKKN
Kim’s fragrance brand lasted around five years.
Although a lot of people often take to socials to ask for her to bring the scenes back, it doesn’t seem likely.
Kim’s line initially launched with major buzz and minimalist crystal-shaped bottles.
But in 2022, she shut it down to rebrand under SKKN by Kim Kardashian.
Khroma Beauty
In 2012, Kourtney, Kim, and Khloé seemingly made one of their first attempts at breaking into the makeup world.
Although Kim and her youngest sister, Kylie, are now big names in the cosmetics industries, Khroma Beauty wasn’t quite that.
It ceased operations by 2016.
Kardashian Khaos
Another of the trio’s business moves that didn’t pan out was Kardashian Khaos – a souvenir shop located in Las Vegas, of course.
The very unique shop sold branded merchandise and promised fans the chance to meet the sisters.
However, high prices and dwindling demand led to its closure in 2014.
There have been a lot of Kardashian apps
When games and apps were all the rage, it looked like Kim was jumping on the bandwagon big time.
But her KIMOJI app, her game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, and Kendall and Kylie’s apps are all no longer in existence.
QuickTrim and Kardashian Glamour Tan
In 2009 and 2010, Kourtney, Khloé, and Kim were the faces of more products that eventually got discontinued.
One was a self-tanning product, and another was a line of diet supplements.
These days, the gals are all about Poosh, SKIMS, and Good American!
