All the signs Love Is Blind’s Colleen and Matt were sadly destined to split from the start

So, Colleen and Matt from Love Is Blind season three just split, but it’s safe to say there were signs the two were on the rocks. Some people saw red flags a mile off, but others seemed pretty hopeful the couple was still going strong. There have been a fair few success stories from the Netflix show, but sadly, this pair wasn’t one of them.
Colleen and Matt clashed on the show
After four years of marriage, Colleen and Matt called it quits this year.
But, throwing it back to their early days on Love Is Blind season three, and some people clocked on to a red flag or two.
One sign that the pair were destined to split came after Colleen “complimented another guy,” during the show which angered Matt, per The Tab.
Matt got mad in season three
Not only did compliments to other people rub Matt the wrong way, but when Colleen stayed out late at a bar, he literally packed his bags to leave.
The couple’s co-star Bartise Bowden told Matt that he’d “pay to be in his shoes,” given that he had a real connection with Colleen.
Bartise was coupled up with Nancy Rodriguez, but the two didn’t get married.

Another situation that had Matt seeing red during Love Is Blind season three was at a pool party.
Colleen and another cast member on the show, Cole Barnett, admitted they were physically one another’s “type,” and they also said they had a connection in the pods.
Not ideal if you’re Matt, admittedly.
After this all came to light, he threatened to leave Colleen and the show altogether, per Screen Rant.
However, they worked through the dispute and ended up getting married.
They weren’t living together during the reunion

After being married for several months, people got to see Colleen and Matt again at the Love Is Blind reunion.
When a lot of couples might be keen to move right on in together after tying the knot, they seemed to be holding fire.
Screen Rant reported that after two years of being married, they did eventually move into the same place.
Their Instagram activity was a huge sign
A lot of people who followed Colleen and Matt’s journey kept up with them post-show and couldn’t help but notice they weren’t acting particularly ‘couple-y’ online.
They rarely posted together any more, and whenever Colleen posted content from home, she had a lot of people asking if she and Matt were living together.
More spotted Colleen “not wearing a wedding ring” in some snaps, and others noticed how her name remained “Colleen Reid” online, and that she didn’t change it to “Bolton.”
Then, in May 2025, they took to the ‘gram with a joint post that said they had been “separated for some time now.”
While about 10 Love Is Blind couples look like they’re going to end up together forever, these guys sadly didn’t go the distance.
